no, the spore creature creator was basically a "demo" of the original spore. the difference between the two is that the spore you make a creature and evolve it and creature creator you just create creatures freely.

They say this game has been in development for 7 years! I went to the local Target tonight because I thought the Creature Creator was being released today; no, the sign says Thursday the 19th. Should be fun! I think it's 19.95 with a 10.00 coupon for the full game. I'm not going to download the free version when the retail version is so inexpensive.

Travistg:Im on a PC and it keeps crashing! i have played it a few times though. i try to start the game and it goes black then reted E and EA game then i see it blending into the Maxis logo. then it just crashes. You could create all kinds of backgrounds and do some stop motion with your creature and the camera option. Or you could do some green screen stuff by obviously creating a green background.

Also, you can do some really advanced stuff with limbs using the Ctrl, Alt, and Shift keys. Pressing Ctrl+Shift while selecting a limbs breaks the limb apart. And Alt+Ctrl+Shift lets you place limbs on limbs. :D
