Aaronpape77 I was thinking of giving poor Indian disabled wheelchairs If I can get Americans to donate to the cause. I see many Indian disabled begging and worse then that they don't have wheelchairs who should be in a wheelchairs. You Should See These Videos Poverty in Bombay by xarlott2007 click 0:10 to see disabled man begging for money who needs a wheelchair. Bombay Western Line by gcinema click 3:56 to see working man who can't afford a wheelchair
@The391956 Sounds like a very noble cause. Ive seen people like this in the streets of Hyderabad. Just a small word of warning though: Many of these people "begging" actually work for a sort-of "pimp" who takes a cut of the earnings (much like the movie Slumdog Millionaire). If you go passing out wheelchairs, you might make some of these despicable "bosses" angry. I would suggest doing it through a foundation where those in need can come to you, rather than the other way around.
@The391956 I assume you are looking to move to a bigger city? If so, then you will have no problem finding markets, shopping malls, hospitals everywhere. There is a huge Western influence there and shops of all kinds, both open and closed, that cater to foreigners. If you make the right friends, they will no doubt show you where more local places are for cheaper fare. A good place to start is wikitravel and type in the city you want. It will give you a lot of info.
@The391956 Not to sound sexist, but as a woman, I would suggest trying to stay in well lit areas or traveling with a friend if possible. There is very little violence there, but it does happen, and more often than not, it happens to women. Stay safe.
Aaronpage77 Thank You I am glad to know it is (around $2) 100 Rupees for hiring a rickshaw with driver. I was also wondering how much a motor rickshaw self drive would cost to buy and how much a small car would cost to self drive would cost. I know the motor rickshaw should be cheaper then the small car. I am also wondering how much a 1 bedroom apartment would rent for in that area and the city area which I guess would be more in down town city. That place looks nice where you are. Thank You
@The391956 Like I said, I go there for my company and stay at a guest house and we hire drivers. I couldn't tell you how much these things cost because I have never had to purchase them. My suggestion is to go there, make friends (which is usually easy because Indians tend to be very friendly & sociable) and ask the normal prices of non-biased people (those not selling these things to you). This will help you to haggle, which will be pretty much inevitable. Good luck!
@The391956 Are you asking how much to buy, rent or hire? You can catch a rickshaw for pretty cheap, though they will probably try to cheat you if you look "western". Depending on distance, you shouldn't pay more than 100 Rupees (around $2) to use a rickshaw. To move around yourself, I would recommend looking into a motorcycle. Traffic in the cities is terrible and you will get around much better that way. Indian bikes are very cheap. Small cars should be affordable too.
@The391956 Wow big move! Life is very different there, but definitely not always in a bad way. Generally the people there are very friendly and eager to get to know foreigners. As for costs, I'm afraid I'm not a very good person to ask because my company has a guest house and a driver, so I never have to pay for those things. I can tell you that most things (except hard liquor and oil) are much cheaper there than in the US. Though if you don't look Indian, they may charge more.
@aaronpape77 Hey aaron.. Good stuff.. You ever thought of doing something different with his footage of yours? Consider entering this video into a video competition which focusses on India and is called "India Is". It's definitely worth checking out.. with mad prizes and trips to India to be won. Good luck..
Hi, Aaron. I'm from Chicago, and visited hyderabad last month. I am considering moving there for economic prospects. I was hoping you could give me some insight on how Americans adjust to living there. I'll send me email to you via a youtube message. Thanks.

@aaronpape77
Thank You for the warning about the pimps.
I had no idea that was what was involved.
Yes they would be angry since the wheelchair
would make then less wages begging.
If I get funding I will do it through a foundation
and have them come to the charity.
Thank You.

I am considering a visit and possible move being a American from
the northeast U.S.A. New York area. It looks different to life in
America.
How much is a 1 bedroom apartment per month and how much
is a car? How much is food?
