  • or how bout you hit the final note while you trem up. he is using a d lock treme

  • wasn't the final note fretted on the pickup?

  • Paganini reencarnated and now plays guitar :D

  • its not steve vai who played it for the movie - neither is it him you hear

  • @Nimrodsland William Kanengiser, right?

  • @lepoglav uhum correction ,, in D Minor

  • Replay button abused!

  • Any one know if there is a bass tab for this song?

  • @V3rs10n1

I think you would need a 6 string bass or something... If you have that, then I would simply advice you to play the guitar tabs. Otherwise, I don't think you could do it.

  • @Xaederaz Seen a guy play it on a four string. alot of movement over the frets ofcourse but still was playable.

  • @V3rs10n1 it was probablly paganini's 5th caprice, not the steve vai version (eugene's trick bag) cuz you'd either need like 32 some odd frets or send it down an octave in a weird way, OR you could tune while you play and that would be hard!!! possible i bet but hard

  • @Xaederaz 6 string bass is BEADGC....

  • @PianoWireAbortion People use DADGAD tunings for guitar and whatnot. Nothing that stops a bassist from using the EADGBE tuning for a 6 string

  • @Xaederaz You obviously don't play bass.

  • @PianoWireAbortion I do play it, however it's not my primary instrument of course. What is it that stops a 6 string bassist from using the standard guitar tuning, instead of the standard bass tuning?

  • @Xaederaz not everyone uses those....

  • pkply difficult is Pepeu Gomes.Look

  • erm it does sound very difficult to play.

  • this sounds so much better without the asshole with the red guitar screwing it up

    JK

  • this is crossroads movie

  • oww... when i play this song my fingers hurt like hell! at 1:07 there is 24th fret 2 1/2 step bend!

  • @ACDC123459 AND YOU CAN'T DO IT? lol jk

  • This is from crossroads. I don't understand the trick here?

  • @eartubes In the movie, the trick was that the kid surprised the Devils Guitarist by playing something totally unexpected and heavenly epic.

In real life however, the trick is trying to play this piece as flawlessly as Steve did.

  • @AzaelVI Thanks for the explaination. I've always wanted to play the guitar. Stuff like this amazes me.

  • @eartubes You're never too old to learn. I played this particular piece when I was 18 years old (at the San Diego Wild Animal Park of all places). Now, I didn’t play it nearly as well as Stevie Via, not even close. Heck, I probably didn't play it as well as Ralph Macchio pretends to play it in the film! But nearly 22 years later, I can pretty much get through this cleanly. It’s just practice.

  • @AzaelVI and if you practice 14 hours a day, 6 days a week, and 29 days a month, well, in 5 or 6 years time you can indeed play no worse than Steve Vai, or Page, or Hendrix, or Blackmore... but only one particular piece of one particular song... man, I hate to say that, but it takes one more component on the top of the routine practising... and it's called geniality. Afraid you and I don't have that...

  • @BlackCrowNavajo actually, for this song, Steve Vai had to practice 187 hours a day.

  • @RCCola339 187 hours a day?! o.O i sense time warps going on.......

  • @BlackCrowNavajo that can depend on the person

    :D

  • Crossroad.

    sauhasuhsahuashusahusa

  • i thought ry cooder was the guitartist for this?

  • @400video

Nope, Ry Cooder plays the Blues stuff, not the final piece.

  • @noxteryn really? wow, i though vai done all the music in the movie. learn somethin' every day, thanks :)

  • @noxteryn It's Paganini: Caprice No. 5

  • @lepoglav I know, dude. It says so in the Video Description.

  • @noxteryn ry cooder overdubbed all "eugene"'s parts, however, in real life, Maccio/Eugene played the parts and can play guitar.

    I know, it's on IMDB

  • @lepoglav not really, but close, it was inspired by caprice no.5 but not the actual piece.

  • Estas mamadas son para aca abajo, jolagranputa

  • nice song...............
