Around 5:20, I never knew Jason did a harmony line...very cool. This bass mix is spot-on. NOW WAY it's too loud.  It's just that we've been listening to how crappy and dry the original mix has been all these years.

The bass sounds horrible now I know why they cut it. The only part the bass is acceptable is at 3:53 in the song all the way to the end. The bass in the earlier part of the song totally screws with the melodic sound of the song up until 3:53.

@jake01258 As far as I can tell, the guy who posted this just took the original and slapped an EQ boost on the lower frequencies. That's why the kick drum sounds like shit. If he'd done it a little more judiciously, he'd have left the bass lower until the distorted guitars kicked in at 3:53, like you said.

He left a legacy and set the bar to a level that cant be reached by any bassist
