what a great Idea and what a great gift idea thanks mike and lol Diva dave for the great video this is a must have to prevent scratches on lovely table as I have as well :)
I really love you guys. I even started to enjoy and appreciate Dan too. He was so shy in the beginning but now he's getting almost as wild as you...
I wish you so many years of happiness together. And Mike, good for you if you try to make him participate in your work and youtube as well... We get our share of laughs and Dan gets his share of you.
did you do it on a long rectangular loom! i tried it with two stands but it is not as lond and wide as yours is!!!Help me out here!! How many strands did you use?
It was done on a long rectangular loom provided by walmart. The length of it is ummm not sure... I'm not at home at the moment.
The length of it is endless. When you are looking at Diva Dan's Lap Top Table Saver, he has it sideways as the length is from side to side, NOT BACK TO BACK... you can tell by the knit line ribs that you can see.
The loom I am using is in the demonstration on how to cast on and off. That's what I used.
As a disclaimer, I am not promising it won't burst into flames... but Diva Dan's Lap top seems to be fine. Because of the thickness of the material... it appears to be venting through the strings fine. I had this problem with heat when I had it on a towel last year, but this type of loom knitting is different than terry towel material.
I was going to say the same thing...they're starting to put heat vents on the sides of computers now, but most of the heat is still dissipated through the bottom. You might want to try making one with a hole where the main vent is located (it's just a matter of dropping/skipping stitches), so the heat can escape, while still protecting your table top.
I try to include Diva Dan as much as possible. He watches me crochet and loom knit with wonder... I know one day he might just do something amazing! Diva dan's Photography is freak'n unreal!

Correct, sort of. Laptops should be placed on a solid flat surface. Heat reduces the longevity of components. The less of it the better.
Oh and that cup of coffee with no coaster is probably more of a threat than the laptop. Hey there's an idea, grab 4 coasters for the laptop.
