  • All excellent tips.

  • stfu faggot

  • very informational. Thanks for this vid.

  • you say you shouldn't jerk the weight up when curling but i have seen countless pro bodybuilders do that deliberately. they call it "cheat curls" and it allows them to lift more than if they used strict form, overloading the muscle and producing more gains.

personally i do a mix of both strict form and cheat curls and i'd say my biceps are my best body part.

  • @LeeJ4337 pushups work primarily 3 muscle, anterior deltoids (front shoulders), chest, and triceps. uhm you can try... most pulldowns/pullups, and barbell bicep curls are good too

  • I only take advice from people I want to look like. And you, my friend, look like total shit.

    Do you even lift?

  • @LeeJ4337 curls, back worksouts like lat pull down and such

  • @LeeJ4337 ......no...

  • Shit I work my biceps 3 to 4 times a week

  • just subbed dude i already knew all this info but after a long time searching for info and training myself but u had all of it on this one vid thanks bro lots of help :)

  • Hey great tips man, but you look chunky in this video. What happen to the striations?

  • my biceps are always far too tired to do after a back session. if yours arent then you probably weren't working hard enough!

  • yeah for no injury but you need to push you to max to gain weight

  • how many sets would you recommend?

  • Do you have a degree in this stuff? You tend to know just about everything. haha

  • he should of also mentioned the importance of stretching. stretching before and after... i also like to stretch a little during to really rip those muscle fibers... i work out bicepts once a week and tricepts twice. when im not working out my bicepts along with my tricepts im doing bench. just look at what is contracting and what is stretching, work hard and you will see results ;)

  • your suppose to train the pros and ants (the oposites), so in this case the bicepts and tricepts. i use to train my bicepts alone. and got huge bycepts but small triicepts i would be walking around like a monkey with my arms half bent... did no look right. now i train my bicepts alot less and my tricepts more 16 inches at 18 yrs so far. back should be trained either by lat raise and lat pull down or chest and rows of a kind. one should be contracting and the other stretching.

  • every bodybuilder knows this shit

  • 7,777 views!!!!! :]

  • soupination...i like that word

  • THANKS DUDE.... MY DEIT IS THE PROBLEM WITH ME JAJAJAJAJA

  • ɟןǝsʎɯ ɥɔnoʇ oʇ ʇuɐʍ ǝɯ sǝʞɐɯ sıɥʇ

  • Thanks for the video, it was really helpful :)

  • thank you really help me

  • Great video, thanks for the tips :)

  • gym rat dumbass = hahahah

  • i still think you should do more cardio .. you don't look so so good even for off season... i'm not a hater i respect what you do, youre rigt about almost every aspect , but still id you want to give people some inspiration keep the definion, cut the carbs

  • im 10 and my grandma says lifting weights is bad for my muscle growth is she right

  • @survivalgun noooo

  • @survivalgun shes a dumbass hag. Listen to younger people. who train not a old lady who lost her prime when she turned 50.

  • Congrats J.R.!

One of your best videos ever!!!

    Go ON!!! :)

  • sorry but this guy is small, I'm way bigger and cut then him

  • @spetznazkye hah, this isnt a im a bigger or better video bud, i cant take someone like you seriously who has no videos of themselves and there about me consist of saying i drive a blacked out car and this is my gamertag. I am not small unless 230lbs is small?

  • @barthelfitness good video dude. solid information and advice too. but i gota question u on 1 point u made. u said only train your biceps like once a week or u wont see results and they wont grow? i train my arms(including triceps) mostly 3 times a week, sometimes 4 and i see a clear growth as they are after getting fairly big. they are roughly around the size of yours, good big solid arms but not completely huge u know. i just think they should be trained at least 3 times a week, rest in between

  • @barthelfitness who cares what u weigh? how much of that is fat. im looking at u and ur neither huge nor cut..

  • @spetznazkye @spetznazkye First off spetznazkye if you are going to put this guy down and ridicule what he is doing, work on your grammar. You can't be bigger then him, maybe than him but that's besides the fact. I know brains don't go with muscles, or so they say. That's my first comment. I have followed JR for quite awhile now. He isn't all about the I'm bigger better than you garbage. As you can see he lets his body do the talking. If you would pay attention. He is here to HELP others.

  • @spetznazkye So many need help and tips on regiment and nutrition. JR is doing just that he is HELPING those with the desire without the knowledge. So back off of my man he's here for the right reasons, and maybe before you criticize you should check out i think it was like one of his first videos. He was selling his shirts and he was MUCH smaller. I asked him how much muscle he had put on. Like fifty pounds I think he said. So let the man be.

  • @spetznazkye i agree, im alot bigger than this guy

  • @titbits17 why no videos to show it?

  • @barthelfitness because I'm not into dick measuring contests with people on youtube, I just find its hard taking advice from somebody I could outlift

  • @titbits17 ok lets upload a video and have a contest, see who can bench/squat/deadlift the most weight. Already got a few 500lbs deadlifts up, i can get a 500 plus pound squat and a 350 plus bench too! Hope you can beet that! Go ahead upload your videos, and ill respond! It's not about who is better then who ok, thats where your mentality is messed up. Knowledge is in the mind, I may not be jay cutler but I am in great shape, BETTER GET THOSE VIDS UP!

  • @barthelfitness and i never said that you wern't in great shape, your weights are respectable and I fully apologize for my first assumptions. and yes there are many people who work on strength training that are not that big but =decently strong (such as yourself). I'm not going to post a video because frankly, i don't care what your opinion on my strength is etc. and if you didn't, you would not have taken my comments to heart haha

  • @titbits17 its all good! but really did come off very negatively

  • @barthelfitness once again sorry for the arrogant negativity

  • what is the differnt between walmart whey protein and gnc whey protein is the walmart whey more concentrate

  • @marcus23332333 Best protein is Jay Robb's. Only 4 ingredients!

  • @BodybuildingANIMAL

JR may have a girlfriend, but BodybuildingANIMAL's is Bigger.

  • LOL, i like ''gym rat dumbass who has'nt had a girlfriend in years'' he's ok

  • damn great video dude

  • dude any chance on doing one for chest, been training chest for a couple months now and im only just lifting a little more weight. Cheers

  • @BodybuildingANIMAL if you tell me who you are....add me on facebook! Give me the real you, and I will let your soul live! You are my god, but all gods must die

  • If you guys want to speed up your bicep development then WORK them 3 to 4 sets just after your heavy ass leg workout... you will have heaps of gh's and test levels after you leg work out.

  • Great video JR thanx for the inspiration it's greatly appreciated here!!! 5*

  • @csjo90 thank you for your support! your the type of people who inspire me to work harder!

  • It's always helpful but first exercise spiritually too

  • @XghostriderrX the mind, is my greatest muscle!

  • unless you are a pro BB - total body workout FTW

  • @maccsta to each there own! im thinking about going to a 20 day split, 15 days of biceps-3 days of chest- and 2 days just for my ass cheecks

  • @barthelfitness hey man thats just my personal preference. It's just time that's the factor for me. Whatever works fot you! Yeah my ass cheeks need some work :)

  • If you could, would you do this for back and triceps? They are both my main concerns. I don't feel the pain, or squeeze or anything, unlike how I feel in my chest, bicep, or leg workouts. NO PAIN!!

  • @iOscartheGrouch no glory! I SURE WILL!

  • Impressive. Very simple but informative. I need to constanly be reminded of those same things over and over again:D

  • can you do the same video for chest and maybe some demonstrations at the gym. Im looking to get a bigger chest so this would help a lot

  • Say, your biceps are big...but mine are bigger

  • @zHazzarD you will never be bodybuildingANIMAL!

  • @barthelfitness lol im friends with him in real life

  • Your completely right man, I use to always train biceps and back every week on the same day and hour and I changed it because i wasn't able to push anymore weight because my back or biceps would always be tired. So i seperated them and I began to see that I was able to push even more weight , it was phenomenal! This is why your information is good and informative thanks. kthxbai

  • Awesome Info...!!!

  • great info for biceps, best explanation that i have heard in a while.

  • people want big biceps cuz they think theyll bag more girls na girls care more about face then abs pecs and biceps

  • JR i think the 12 sets rule doesnt apply to biceps and triceps, aheres why. the chest, back, and upper legs all use that rule, but they are all MAJOR muscle groups. the bi's are small. Personally I think 2-3 exercises is enough, total of 6-8 sets FOR MOST PEOPLE. I do agree that there is always gonna be ballpark figures for training and you have to figure out what YOUR body needs to stimulate the muscle.

  • @LTMagic21 I agree, i personally do about 3 exercises with 4 sets, first set being warm up

  • @LTMagic21 truee that.

  • FUCK TRAINING BICEPS... train LEGS HEAVY and release heaps of natural growth hormones which will make your arms bigger anyways. I hardly train biceps and they look pretty good.

  • @adamsmith85 you got a good mentality! Legs and back need to be a huge focus, they are your largest muscle group! If you got the genetics to get away with only training biceps from natural back movements....SWEEEET! OR should i say SWING! (waynes world)(free weezy..lol) but most of us arent monsters like you ADAM SMITH!

  • Comment removed

  • @adamsmith85 cant really make it out, too small of a picture

  • @RedHorizon100 dude that would be your foreamrs hahaha

  • Great video, looking forward to more in this style.

  • Quite a good video, it all makes good sense. I always try to stay focused in the gym, fx. when I'm working on my biceps, and I usually try to stay concentrated while doing reps, but man, it can be difficult to keep cool and not cheat yourself and drop the weights on the last two-three reps. But I guess as long as you're aware that it's not really intentional for your workout and try and remain focused most of the time it'll work out anyways.

    Thanks for the input.

  • I agree with this video.

  • I agree with this video.

  • Looks like you hit yourself in the face with a dumbbell lol.

    Your cheek's all red

  • @FacelessProjects might be the lighting and effects on the video??

  • @barthelfitness Oh good; I thought you'd hurt yourself. Haha.

  • yeah..i do a leg workouts too..lol.?

seems/feels too long sometimes to wait a whole week sometimes before being able to hit that muscle group again ..just saying. thx.

  • Finally a biceps workout wooo

  • Is the pump really important?

  • @SaucePhilosophy no, you can get a pump just flexing your arm a bunch! however when training muscles with intensity and good form, the pump will be there 9 times out of ten! have that mind muscle connection! makes a world of difference!

  • @barthelfitness JR i believe the pump plays an important muscle building role by stretching the fascia, allowing more room for the muscle tissue to grow, which is one of the goals of this "FST-7" training, to achieve the biggest pump possible then stretch the muscle group immediately afterwards, its pretty interesting stuff, worth some research

  • hey JR... ive been going to the gym steady and seriously every 2nd day now for 2 months... i do triceps with chest day. biceps with back day. nothing major like you say. just enough to break them down and hurt next day or so. i eat and sleep well.

but waiting a week to hit them again seems too long now...so are you suggesting i do a 2nd bicep day? if so when...at the half a week point or what?

  • @legion0101 do you train legs? at most do 2 times per week....but most people see the best results training one muscle group per week

  • Hey JR, great video as always! You're super inspirational to me and I always appreciate your videos. One question, if you say to train biceps once and week and NOT with back, what would be a good split for the week? I.e., how would your week or a just a typical one look like? Thanks!

  • @lfurner3 i like 4 day splits i do chest and biceps.......back and triceps.....legs......and shoulders/traps/abs

  • Great video! I am guilty of over-training my biceps aha, im going to listen to your tip and let them rest more, Thanks!

  • @IRickyValentine give it a shot, you will like the results! I used to be the same way!

  • @bigwilllong well im looking to keep building muscle clean! this picture actually takes away some definition because theres lighting right above me...haha but I really dont care! I will continue "bulking" till feb to diet down for my show in may!

  • Honestly no one pays attention to who comments 1st or second. Good tips bro, looking huge.

  • lol whippy but yeh good channel

  • Dude you said not to overtrain your Biceps?

if you dont do Biceps on back day then your overtraining Biceps you cant pull anything to you without using your Biceps.

Same for chest and tricep and shoulder.

  • @Laneooo1 No I ment dont isolate, virtually all back movements use your biceps so they have been used, and if your training back right used to exhaustion. So rather then do them afterwards after they have already been used for most likely an hour of intense back training, let them recover from that session, hit them in isolation another day, ya feel me?

  • @barthelfitness ohh i see I do have i question unrelated to this tho right im 240 training for 3 years started at 190 and i do train heavy and starting to get left shoulder joint pain and its starting to get annoying is there any supplement you know of that would help

    Thanks

  • @Laneooo1 it really is hard for me to answer since im not your body! However I could guess its because you do not work your rotators in your shoulders. These are small muscles and are not worked in typical heavy pushing movements, and if they become weak....you likelyness as injury is increased! I would youtube rotator cuff exercises or rotator exercises and you will get a bunch of exercises to do, there simple and sweet but help in the long run!

  • @Laneooo1 ... Doing biceps with back is not necessary. Doing Chest/Tricep/Shoulders in one day is not necessary either, unless you're going low volume. Good luck training all three of those muscle groups if your goal is hypertrophy, you're going to have too much volume and THAT will lead to overtraining.

BTW, there are also many other factors that can cause overtraining. Lack of rest and nutrition can halt gains.

  • 3rd lol eat me u rock jbarthel thumbs uppp if u get motivated by this man this guy is god to me no lie i respect him so much

  • @MuscleNSupplements thanks man! your my god! hi god!
