OMG!! All I can do is smile and acknowledge the fact that is 2012 I still remember the words to this song. I will actually download this. God I miss feel good music.
THese boys were too cute...and gifted.Second album was tight. Then they got lost in Boy Group frenzy I guess along with Hi 5, Troop, Soul For Real, Force Mds, Joe Public and all the other gifted guys who came and went...
I met them when i went to my step mother's family reunion. we stayed at the same hotel as them and a bunch of other people. I met Spinderella, Whodini, dancers from Heavy D. It was Mike Tyson's birthday party and there were so many people there. That was about 25 yrs ago.
This brings back good memories, when life was carefree. I remember playing kick ball with the kids in the neighborhood and this song was always playing.
Wow! I was 9 years old when his came out! I remember going to school that 4th grade year and girls would sing their songs and bring their cassette tapes and posters to school. My mother took me to a concert with The Boys, Kid N Play and some other artists I can't remember. They were the talk of America at that time. They were almost the New Edition of our childhood. I saw almost cause New Edition made more albums and they're songs are still major classics to this day. Miss these days!
The Boyz, Tracie Spencer, Shanice Wilson, Tevin Campbell and Kris Kross use to have a major buzz with kids back in the early 90's. That's when kids were still kids and weren't caught up in grown affairs or tried to act grown. My o' my have the world changed in a short 20 yrs. Nowaday's, kids would consider this too soft and the fake gangsta's front like they they toughest to ever have been born. Damn shame. I know I'm very critical on a lot of these pages but I just gotta show consciousness.
1: They are now called, The Suns (of Light). After their last album, all four brothers went and lived in Gambia. They have dual citizenship btwn the two.
2: 2 brothers, Khiry and Tajh are here in the States, while Bilal is back and forth here and in Africa, with Hakim. All have children. Bilal is the only one that's married.
3: Yes. Yes. Yes and YES!!!!!!! All four have Facebook pages. Hakim, Tajh and Bilal are the most actives-- especially Tajh. :)
i know ,thas all i listen to is songs from back in the days when i was a teenager ,to keep my mind off of the bull shit thas goin on right now in these present times
workin in a warehouse where they had a raddio playin all day when i was about 17 ,couldnt wait for this song to come on
I would love for them to be on the next B.E.T. awards as a surprise performance or soul train awards that would be so awsome like they been doin with some of these old school perfomers in these last few award shows.
I WENT TO ELEMENTARY WITH THEM AND THEY WERE VERY DOWN TO EARTH THEY DADDY HAD THEM @ VENICE BEACH PERFORMING EVERY WEEKEND...AMBLER ELEMENTARY IN CARSON, CALIFORNIA.....
@sweetsassy34 ..i wish i went to school with them back then...lol i loved Hakeem. But for some reason t cant see Hakeem being down to earth with his personality and cuteness..lol
If i may ask a foolish question, did one of the The Boys band members re-incarnate into Tevin Campbell who then later re-incarnated into Chris Brown? Musical Metaphysics can be a powerful thing
@newagecozaki LOL, naw. I read they chunked the deuces to show business (not wanting to sell out just to sell records), all went to college and got their educations. they're scientists, engineers (and 1 doc, i think), now.
That makes the two of us girl!! I remember getting teased mercilessly by my big bro coz my mate went and told him how I LOOVEEEDDD Hakeeemmm...Ah....such fine memories <3
NKOTB, Backstreet boys, N-Sync and all others learnt from these cats. They carried the torch from Jackson 5 then New Edition. Priceless stuff. Dial It, dial it, dial it baby dial it!
Every time I Watch this,i this it's like i Turn seven all over again. Im 31 now and my heart stil throbbs. I have forgiven myself by realizing that they are adults now! LOL!
@Saturn554 They're still around. They changed their names to Suns of Light. They're more new age now. Hak produces for a lot of African artist and did some stuff for some major US acts like Akon and NKOTB. Tajh is here in Atlanta and has his own bad. Bilal raps, and Khiry is a cinematographer. They're real cool guys. very humble and down to earth.
you sure won't see nothin like this again becuz kids these day if they had a group couldn't do that becuz it would be lame or weird know from experience i listen to old music grew up on and if i let my friends hear it they wouldn't like it...

The Boys were my first crush! I was in 2nd grade when the song came out and fell in love with each brother. Plus I loved their Black Muslim names. They could dance, sing and act. They were my world, espcially Hakeem! My fave songs were "Dial My Heart" and "Lucky Charm". But "Just a Little Romance was awesome too.
Lol I didn't know this song came out the year I was born. I only remember my cousins doing a "music video" to this song back when you could go to the mall and pay to make a music video...I miss those times.
