Tom Quayle Hello, I am a great admirer of your work! I took the first solo and recorded this video. If you can watch and comment'll be flattered! You could send me BT the second part of the video? Pilhotrix@hotmail.com
That first ballad is just stunning. Tom you rock man I have been playing over these changes and backing for days and still just do not get how you do it with such ease and such a flow. Great playing man!
Hey Tom. Love your playing! I'm thinking about getting your lesson on 2 5 1 fusion licks (from your website). I just want to know, is the tablature written for standard tuning or for your perfect 4ths tuning? Cheers.
If anyone's interested in a full & accurate transcription of the segment from (2:10) to (3:34) - (along with a bar-by-bar breakdown/analysis!) of this AWESOME Tom Quayle improvisation, just shoot me a message through my Youtube channel (billmeedog).
I actually created this about a year-and-a-half ago (with Tom's kind permission!)
That said, he IS NOT affiliated with my work, although he was highly complimentary of the finished product - which is comprised of a 12-file zip-file.
Tom, dude, your are one of my favorite players right now. there was Hendrix, Van Halen, Yngwie, (Skip everone else for the moment) then there was Greg Howe. Now it seems and Rick Graham; Guthrie; Marshall Harrison and other special players like Marrious who are expanding the vocabulary of the guitar. Of course, it was Allan Holdsworth who created this; Shawn Lane abd EVH greatly kept it alive like a flame. I realize that the harmonic complexity of the tracks vary FLOW
His facial expression @ about 0:41 looks like his reaction to someone saying "Hey, I bet you can't play that without looking at your guitar". In which he then completes the rest of the song without looking at said guitar.
Amazing tone hardly ever looks at the neck , love these guitars just discovered this guy about the same time i did with Andy Wood, another amazing Suhr player. Tom is is just an amazing all round guitar player.
Are you Using Pro tools? I always want to have a similar tone as yours, i was thinking is posible is you can send me a configuration to my protools or just and save file to load in my pc, and play..i know maybe you are using some pedals and pickups to adquire that sound, i work connecting my PRS directly to protools :)
You better finish up your record and release it so i can buy it and listen to your killer fusion style on the go! BTW, is there any reaosn you chose to put an SSV+ in the bridge? just curious, it sounds great
dude so....u play every chord change? and it even sounds like your anticipating some chords (playing that particular scale before the actual chord arrives) is that right?
