What great opening shots and music! Life is so precious and beautifull as this shows. Look what God gave us to play in and around, all while having to be keenly aware of the dangers. I applaud your adventurous spirit for getting out there. The woman in the blue t-shirt has a terrific smile. Thanks !!
well what gets me your in a canyon with rapids and there has been heavy rain fall a couple of miles away and yet you didn't even think there wasn't going to be an flash floods and to put your children at risk thats bad thank god was shining down upon you that day
I loved your video. I produce the 5pm newscast Monday-Friday at KOLD, and I am working on a half-hour Post Monsoon special, sort of like "Storm Stories" on the Weather Channel. I would love to use some of your video. Could you call me at KOLD? Leasa Conze, 744-1313 ext. 173 or 744-6397, ext. 173
Timothy Hahn, the man who lost his life in this tragic accident, was my cousin's husband. The story that most haven't heard is that Tim got out of the canyon after the first wave hit his group, but jumped back in to save Angela. That is when the second wave of rushing water came out of nowhere and swept them both away. It is a very sad event but Tim died in a way that deserves much respect and I would he honored to go that way.
Some people go to Spain and run with the bulls for excitement. Others hunt big game. I enjoy hiking canyons or also known as canyoneering. I will never forget canyoneering with my guide in Cibicue Canyon near Globe, AZ with my Apache guide Greg a few years ago.
petekosednar Thanks for the kind words. My family was very lucky to be hiking away from the falls when the flash flood happened. We had just crossed the creek and were in a safe area when the flood rolled past us. We were so sorry to hear about the deaths of the two hikers and hope that their families can find some peace.

That stream doesn't have rapids and where do you get your "couple of miles away" nonsense? This is a dumb, mean-spirited comment.

Show the helicopter pilot. He only saved your lives.

Hi guys, Rev Susan mentioned this this morning! (I'd be deaf after that helicopter ride... no ear protection?)
Found out about the tragedy a few days back on the local news. Sad. Can't believe you were there! - K

My prayers are with the families of Tim and Angela...it could have been any of us...since we hike in these canyons around Tucson...

RIP the two hikers who passed away. Hiking in canyons can be very dangerous. Glad your family was o.k. and thanks for sharing the video!
