I don't know why, but this song never fails to bring me to tears. It's one of the most beautifully written and crafted songs I have ever heard, and is my favourite Sufjan song to date. I'm not a Christian, so me adoring this song - and many of his others - is proof that his music reaches out just as he intends it to - not only to those who are religious but to anyone who can appreciate his unique and incredible song-writing talents.

I said I am NOT Christian, which I said doesn't matter when listening to Sufjan's songs, as you don't "have to be religious to appreciate Sufjan" (your words). Once again, I am NOT a Christian, nor am I religious in any way, shape or form. I wasn't 'assuming' anything at all. You, however, are assuming that I was trying to 'be cool and philosophical', when in fact, all I was doing was saying that I really like Sufjan's songs. Next time, I simply won't bother.
