I want to add that in Iran people are protesting against injustice on a large scale while in Saudi Arabia they are not. Name me another country in 2009 where people protested against the government in their MILLIONS... People all over the world feel solidary with them.
What exactly is being protested? Just Ahmadinejad's election? Or the political system? If so, in what way? Why are they chanting slogans in English? Why does this happen to occur just after the United States invades Iraq and Afghanistan and decides to target Iran for sanctions and other bullying tactics? Is this part of the larger history of Western control and subversion, or merely coincidence? Perhaps the West is merely amplifying the voice of dissent to weaken Iran's current system.
If you see the situation in Iran as the result of western interference, you miss the point. Of course there has been such interference, such as the support of ethnic uprisings. But we have to acknowledge the internal reasons. Iran has changed a lot in recent years. Women now have a significantly higher education than men, but they still suffer terrible discrimination. The protests which started as protests against the election also were about much deeper grievances.
The point seems to me to be to paint the image of the Iranian government as brutal and repressive, as a psychological operation intended to weaken support for it in preparation of a regime change favoring the West. This is in complete disregard for the historical context in which this is occurring. The USA has sought to overthrow the Iranian revolutionary government since the beginning, and has just invaded countries bordering both sides of it. I'm supposed to believe that this is coincidence?

What exactly is being protested? Just Ahmadinejad's election? Or the political system? If so, in what way? Why are they chanting slogans in English? Why does this happen to occur just after the United States invades Iraq and Afghanistan and decides to target Iran for sanctions and other bullying tactics? Is this part of the larger history of Western control and subversion, or merely coincidence? Perhaps the West is merely amplifying the voice of dissent to weaken Iran's current system.

If you see the situation in Iran as the result of western interference, you miss the point. Of course there has been such interference, such as the support of ethnic uprisings. But we have to acknowledge the internal reasons. Iran has changed a lot in recent years. Women now have a significantly higher education than men, but they still suffer terrible discrimination. The protests which started as protests against the election also were about much deeper grievances.

The point seems to me to be to paint the image of the Iranian government as brutal and repressive, as a psychological operation intended to weaken support for it in preparation of a regime change favoring the West. This is in complete disregard for the historical context in which this is occurring. The USA has sought to overthrow the Iranian revolutionary government since the beginning, and has just invaded countries bordering both sides of it. I'm supposed to believe that this is coincidence?

1:47 "we want freedom." The "police" are using gear that say "police" in Western lettering. All the signs I see are in English. How do I know that this isn't all as fake as the testimony about Saddam's troops taking babies out of incubators? And if this is merely an internal struggle to be handled by Iran, why bother making propaganda in English about it? This is intended specifically to motivate English speakers to be sympathetic to a regime change in Iran, which is exactly what the USA wants.

Great job for the video and for the brave freedom fighters. I wish Brazilian people had the same guts, cause our president LULA gave food to be voted, but he puts no investiment in education, jobs and health, to poor people became free to judge politicians (lot of robery in Brazil by them). His speech is to be seen as a good guy in external politc. Keep the people ignorant here at home.. he is a betrade president who serves big interprises and banks. He sold his soul.
