Splendid performance! Some of the most beautiful voices and vocal blending I've heard in a long time. With as many Phillipino friends as I've had, I have never heard any kind of Phillipine folk music. This was a great and welcome introduction to the magnificent sounds. Be proud!

@Blavat666 Last time I checked, chorale world champions did some dances, hand gestures and facial expressions. It becomes dull if you only focus on just voice blending. Even their opponents do that.
To have an edge, they add something extra. It's not just about being an excellent singer, but also having an entertaining performance. Why would you want to comment: "Asikasuhin nyo ang estado at hitsura ng bansa NYO" -- isn't it that the Philippines is your country too? do it for yourself too.

Congratulations UST Singers...your rendition of the Gabaq-an was quite powerful and moving. Very good Solo and the Sopranos' high notes are unbelievable.
You really deserved the Choir of the World Title for 2010.

Cory who pushed Tagalog as a Medium of Communication. and it Depends on your Perspective if the PH is full of Informal Settlers. Cause I didn't saw any when I'm in Ayala, Eastwood, and Laguna. maybe you live near them, so that's why you hate them so much. I saw quite a few in the Road maybe they're related to you? and whatnot. Isn't PH your country too?

@Blavat666: I'm not pretending. No one is, when it comes to our second major language. And because I'm talking in this manner that doesn't mean that I'm ashamed of our mother tongue. Plus there's a new campaign established by the Faculty of Arts and Letters in UST. that we (artlets) should try to prevent speaking in tagalog. it's now the time to learn and let our second language out of obscurity. No one uses the term "squatters" anymore. they would love to be called informal settlers. haha.

Blavatt666 is a former member of the Madrigal Singers. Sobrang galit niya kasi hindi ang madz ang nakakuha ng ganung kalaking award. I hope she realizes that the Madrigal Singers are now the most over rated choir in the country. Blavatt666 and her ilk must start fading away into the past and give way to other more deserving choirs. I expect Blavatt666 or any of her fellow Madz to issue a denial of this.
