I met my husband in an online yahoo chat room over 9 years ago. I was 16 and he was 19 when we started talking. I didn't want to tell my mom about him because of his age so we just stayed friends. 5 months later we met for the first time at a beach party (my mommy did not know this, but knows now) and he was my first kiss. Finally when I was 17 he really wanted to come visit me again (we lived 2 hours away from each other) so he called my house and asked my mom if he could come see me.

So finally after a year of just being friends and dating other people...we decided to met again and give dating a try! We dated for 4 years (yes living 2 hours apart the while time) and then Christmas of 2004 he asked me to Merry him. We are celebrating our 5 year anniversary on December 30th of this year!

He has joined the Air force and we have lived in Japan and now Spain...but at least we are finally living together! :)

People feel constricted because judges usually give everything to the wife in a divorce but I can see that ends up hurting both men and women. Worry about divorce will pop up in your mind every time you have a serious disagreement which is enough to cause a caged feeling. And of course that's bad for both parties. Being a legal agreement making you responsible for your spouses credit is the only biggie that comes to mind but anyway, it is much more than a label.
