bummer you have the 561 castings, but hell of a nice job on the rest. I used a lot of the same stuff on my build (94 Formula M6) but went with a CC503 on 1.6 Ultra Pro Magnums, ported 374 castings, 875 lifters, 1.94/1.56 Manley stainless valves, raised plates, TPIS 58mm. Same headers but coated, SVO 30#, Walbro 255. Props for going 1.52RRs on the 847. That's perfect for them- 1.6RRs start to get close to coil bind on the 847 (.595" lift). Dyno tune put me at 377RWHP/371RWTQ.
no need for 1.6's on unported heads. the cam alone creates enough extra lift on 1.5's. now when i eventually get ported heads I may change to 1.6's but right now it would just cause more unnecessary valve spring tension with no gain to show for it.
Educate yourself before you just start making assumptions. The car won't make more power just because it has higher lift. Its a BALANCE between volume and velocity!
cc306 IS NOT A gm847!!! I appreciate your advice, but I built a budget 350 for 32 ford and it made 17 rwhp more with 1.6's over 1.7's! The car made a total of 524rwhp through an automatic. All that was on stock internals. Some cars even run better with staggered sizes such as 1.5's on intake and 1.6's on exhaust.
who did your heads?

Stupid question considering i've always used stock looking push rods (hardened), but where those fully adjustable push rods?
