AAAGGGHHH!!!! I just watched the entire Series 1 and 2 just to find out there is no Series 3 leaving the fate of so many characters unanswered. I understand that von Trier wrote the 3rd series. Can anyone get their hands on that screenplay? I'm dying over here.

@livkivi Yes, it is Lars Von Trier's best work ever. One of my favorites. Did you also know that it was remade by Stephen King in Amerca under the title, KINGDOM HOSPTIAL? Good one, too. Must find it on DVD to own.

@tapesan09 Yes i know it. And that was a huge dissapointment, because im a big fan of Stephen King. He turned that masterpiece to some american crap. There is a huuuuge difference between the acting skills, plot and the whole atmosphere. Its really sad to see that someone you idolized did something that bad only for money.

@livkivi True. I am a HUGE fan of Stephen King, too. In fact, his version was pretty good, but I still love von Trier's version a lot. Have you seen his new film yet? It is call ANTICHRIST, with William Defoe. I haven't seen it yet but still will when it comes out on DVD by Criterion. Anyway, I would have to agree with you on both versions of RIGET. The original is one of my all-time favorites, find it on DVD. And thanks for the invite. :)

Fun fact: A third "season" of 4 episodes was planned to end the show, but unfortunately two of the main characters (Järegård and Rolffes) died before production was started. According to von Trier, these last episodes were supposed to have a comic touch...

I don't even need to see Stephen Kings version. The only thing good he has done is 'The Shining. Lars von Trier: haven't seen much else except 'The Waves' which was amazing but hardcore. His 'The Kingdom' is one of the best all-round entertainments I've seen in years: funny, spooky, soapy, satirical. So you Americans: I get that you don't 'get' satire and that the brilliance of this film is lost on you -but you really should get out more. It's an interesting world.

However, since the connotation of the swedish swearword "jävel" (devil), is closer to "fucker" or "bastard", than an actual devil, the translation can be counted as somewhat correct. Although I would porbably have chosen the phrase "DANISH BASTARDS" instead of "DANIH SCUM".

The subtitles are crap. At least when they're translating the swedish doctor Stig-Helmer's lines. He's not saying "The damn kid", he's saying "I can't take this damn shit". He's not saying "It's very complicated", he's saying "you danes always have to make everything so complicated".
