  • This seriously can't be the final icon for cs6, please make it more suitable, this one looks like I am opening ExtremePaint or smth :/

  • Is there a release date out yet?

  • "entirely new basic panel"

    ahem.... nope.

that look's pretty similar to the one you get when, you know... you open Camera Raw files in CS.... 5 i believe? 5.5? i don't remember.

anyhow, that's not new. at all. it's just been rewritten to work with cellphones....

if you don't know, if you had a CR2 (Camera Raw format) from a DSLR, this is the interface you get when opening in either CS 5 or CS 5.5.

    i'm not impressed.

  • Great. Did you use Adobe Audition to record your voice? :)

  • 1:58 Photoshop deserves a better icon!!

    thumbs up if you agree!

  • FINALLY, you can do any adjustment with the adjustment brush! FUCK. YES. Now I don't have to process my raw files 8 times and have 8 painstakingly blended layers in PS.

  • @H3532 Clue is in the name of the app PHOTOshop, just joking but I get what you mean :)

  • I would like a lighter interface (like Illustrator) not a darker one.

  • @AlexandraDorobantu You can change between 4 different colours.

  • Dear Adobe, I hope you'll make a real tileable-painting function, a realtime symmetry and radial symmetry, a nice ellipse and ruler tool like the one in SketchbookPro where you can trace strokes over them (and not-->selection-->right click-->stroke...ops too thick-->undo.....)

  • WOW! It took you 22 years and 13 releases to put a tooltip on a cursor and to give the ability to change the interface and still the program cant even remember the last folder i saved the file and remove that stupid "save as copy" in the dialog :s

  • @coveredinsevindust It's possible the picture was taken with a Nokia N series. Google for "nokia dslr image" and read The Handheld Blog article.

  • Pop stopper, dude. You gasping and smacking your lips into the mic is blasting my eardrums.

  • What the heck is up with the PSCS4 icon.. Looks like something right out of the 90's..

  • legofreak, you can open jpegs in Raw already. I've got a video posted on how to do it.

  • Getting soooooooooooooo tired of having to shell out $1000 every time a software engineer at Adobe sneezes.

  • @ResolUloseR Like you have ever paid for PS anyways. Fucking tool

  • @podivan22 Dude...PS my pendulous sweetbreads...Idiot.

  • the highlights recover and clarity is a major deal , paint with the brush a diff color balance is awesome! Yes!

  • whats up with the photoshop and mac users? almost every video with photoshop done be mac users

  • He totally did not take that image off his cellphone unless he took it with his slr and then dumped it on his phone and then took it off his cellphone. That new iPhone must be bad ass. LOL

  • Adobe will have to work much harder to convince us PS users to buy yet another version of PS. I use my CS5 and am quite happy with it. Perhaps they should consider one of the features I asked for many times, which is to find a way to remind one that the selection marching ants has been hidden by the user having pressed ctrl+H or cmd+H. that would be useful. And by the way, you can change the color of the background in CS5: just select the Eyedropper, right click.. and there you go!

  • he took a RAW picture on a cell phone? I am confused

  • @legofreak93 No, he took a picture on his cell phone and opened it in camera raw.

  • @pjs160 I didn't know you could do that, how do you get to it from cs5?

  • ._. JUST DOWNLOAD PIRATE THIS SH1T XDD

  • 1:52 wow. I bet I have seen this feature in other programs long time ago. It's so simple I"m suprised adobe did'n came out with it earlier.

I must say though I have seen it before, this idea have never crossed my mind eighter.

  • Amz Am z Amz

  • ugh……… Windows MDI interface on a Mac?

    VOMIT

  • @unicodesnowman

Mac ? Thats a real reason for vomit

  • awsome thanks adobe!

  • Since when phones can shoot in "RAW" ???

  • @techfreak47 it's jpg opened in photoshop

  • @techfreak47 Camera Raw can edit JPEGs as well.

  • @techfreak47 Since when you do use $1000 software on pictures shot with a phone?

  • @TheNinjinx You ask me ?? LOL

Didn't you hear the guy in the video saying "This is an image off of my Cellphone" ??

  • Comment removed

  • We need 32-bit node-based image editing instead of more software bloat.

  • This is a Service Pack? lol

  • what if i like the transparent background??

  • when will this become available in picasa 4.0?

  • Photoshop: I LOVE YOUUUUUU! <3

  • oh sweet jesus!! cs6 come to papa!!! :D

  • I can do that in Lightroom 3. ¬¬

  • "If I could pull back the black slider" ... I'm saying nothing.

  • At least cut this part out. :) 1:59

  • Who decided that all applications should have a dark background. I don't feel comfortable with dark bg.

  • @jdeckler you can change it back to the light background in the preferences menu. i actually prefer the darkest background, it enhances the image. much like lightbox in flickr. each to their own hey.

  • Any chance Lion's new features are going to be supported with CS6, or are Mac users going to get the shaft once again?

  • CS4 icons look best or professional.

  • I can't wait to pay 400€ to be able to adjust the color of the interface!

  • @cczeroX

    good point !

  • @cczeroX You've got to remember. It's the first sneak peek.

  • Comment removed

  • @cczeroX jaja!

  • @cczeroX I can't wait to download the Pirate Edition

  • The icon of Photoshop CS6 is crappy.

  • @Meowwang I *really* hope it's only temporary.

  • @Meowwang it's so 2000! ew

  • @Meowwang Well no shit, it's still heavily under development so they have to use something much simpler in the beginning. Icons and tweaking with end user interface comes in much later during the production of a product. :)

  • @Meowwang i bet its only an easy concept

  • @Meowwang i'ts world best's icon! new trend on icon-drawing. sorry i'm bad lnking on english. I'm russian!

  • @Meowwang This is the early stages of CS6 they will most likely change it

  • many iphone apps do perfectly those things haha

  • It will be Awesome waiting for it sure.

  • Nice man. I m waiting for the update

  • Why are you guys using Snow Leopard?

  • Please bring InDesign's kerning to Photoshop.

  • A cell phone that takes picture in RAW??

  • @chipchip1971 No its a JPG. Take another look. You can open JPGs in RAW.

  • @RufusTheRuthless Why would you ever want to edit JPGs in RAW? Sounds oxymoronic.

  • @chipchip1971 Because some cameras don't have raw (my point and shoot doesn't for instance), and maybe a client might give you a photo in that format and ask you to edit it - or something like that ;-). I agree though - avoid at all costs.

  • @RufusTheRuthless I don't see how JPGs can truly be edited in RAW, because JPG is compressed data. So the only possibility in CS6 (if the video above is real) is that PS recreates (via extrapolative/interpolative algorithms) the additional data parameters to turn a JPG into a RAW. This makes the entire exercise ridiculous. You edit JPG directly within PS without using RAW functions (because you simply don't).

  • @chipchip1971 Yeah, but you can't follow your ACR workflow if you edit in PS, instead of ACR. It's easier to open the JPG in ACR and edit as if it is a RAW/DNG file (of course the compression will be a problem if you move the sliders to the max). Anyway, it's not new to open JPGs with ACR, the new thing is that ACR has changed.

  • @efephotovideo Ahh...ok that makes sense. Thanks for clarifying.

  • I wonder what this will look like in Windows 8

  • Please add some mode for metro style windows 8.

  • What is this witchcraft?! XD

  • Will you finally get rid of the 500 million windows and panels on OS X? From what I've saw, I hope that there will be a united window in the final version of CS6.

  • @TMBRF The layout looks very similar to CS5.

  • @TheWakeUpCall I meant a background like in Windows.

  • OMG, the new raw processing seems so awesome

  • So, pay another $BIG$ upgrade fee for this?

  • I heard you would need a key and will work with internet only

  • man i just bought cs5 :(

  • bring it on adobe mofo's

  • MOAR!

  • hell yeah, about time, CS6 is on it's way :)

  • So will LR's and PS's tools finally work exactly the same?

  • Once Calvin Hollywood was showing how to change the german version of CS5 into the english one by deleting any file in any folder. So I think there might be any file or files where I can change the hexadecimal code ... maybe?! Any suggestions?

  • CaptureOne - sorry, I mean PS6 interface - looks great ;)

  • i hope i can still use it on my shitty computer that isn't sse2....

  • Cel phone image? Description says its from a laptop. There are no celphones or laptops that shoot raw.

  • @HeavyWinds You can open other image formats than RAW in Camera RAW...

  • I don't know of any cel phone that shoots raw. Its not possible this is a phone image unless camera raw supports jpgs?

  • @HeavyWinds Yes, Camera Raw supports JPEG.

  • when will the new version of Photoshop be release?

  • Incredible, my CS6 upgrade money is ready, hope you improve After FX with better faster warp stabilizer too!

  • Yet another feature to make Photoshop crash

  • Looks like about $3 worth of changes...

  • Does the Import video frames to layers functionality work in CS6 64bit? It only works in the 32bit version of CS5 and no one, including Adobe, has been able to tell me if there's an update.

  • Photoshop CS6?

  • @Dilster3k What's wrong with that?

  • Sir a humble rqst, do watever developing u want, i appreciate it!!

but don't fuck up the 32 bit users, like u guys did for AE CS5 :( :@

    Damm forced to use Cs4

  • Very cool. Love that Camera Raw is getting better and better. It's a dynamite app. Like the darker background too. Easy on the eyes.

  • @photoshopuser3237 You can change the color background on Ps CS5 too, by the way. Edit > Preferences > Interface > Standard Screen Mode Color.

  • It looks incredibly cool, the recovering on image information is something really hard I found to do before, also the new darker interface on it.

    -

Just a small question there, what application was used to record the screen?

Thanks and keep it up, Adobe rules!

  • @myuutsuuCMCE He was using QuickTime. Go to File>New Screen Recording

@AmpoTheKing You can't yet. Only in Photoshop CS6

    Finally a dark interface! Yes!

  • @myuutsuuCMCE Quicktime x built in with lion, not sure if it is in older versions of OSX

  • @City17 It's built in with Snow Leopard and judging by the buttons at the beginning of the video that's what he's using.

  • @City17 Thanks a lot, I didn't know it. >.<

  • i think Camera Raw is pretty cool. Make editing much easier now

  • How can I set dark skin in PS CS5 please ??? (PC)

  • @AmpoTheKing pretty sure that's a new feature not in cs5

  • @AmpoTheKing You can't. The only thing you can change is the background..

  • @AmpoTheKing Double click the background(ourside the file) and select your color :)

  • @Ciucku Sorry, I guess I don't understand :) I tried it, but nothing happened.

  • @AmpoTheKing Interface Preference!

  • @AmpoTheKing Hold down Alt and tap F4.

  • @themrbriano I tried it as you said, but suddenly, my laptop exploded !!! :(((( It's completely destroyed, I don't know what to do, now. I just wanted to set dark skin but now my laptop is away :(( Thank you for your advice...

  • @AmpoTheKing open a picture, then do a right click on the background and there you can change between grey, black and custom colour ;)

  • @xfxZ3R0 Yeah, but AmpoTheKing is asking for the black skin (theme, with menu bars included), not only for the black background.

  • @AmpoTheKing Not sure you can do that in CS5.
