Great Video, I grew up listening to Jim Reeves on track 8 tapes in my fathers car, what a memory that brings back. I love rock music, but I have always loved the music of Jim Reeves, and at one time I had all the LP's. I'm going to start listening again, thanks for posting this.

@ARTIE522 I had just about all of Jim's songs on records then my wife bought me a new stereo system CD player with no record deck! just to make matters worse she gave all my old records to a charity shop ( thought she was doing me a favour!) What do you get for murder these days? a divorce would have been too expensive so I have lived with it and got over it ( well nearly ) but its taken 20 years !

Thanks for the Jim Reeves...tragically, he died when I was only 13...before I learned to appreciate his music. Today, I have a collection of his work from vinyl to CD...and never tire of listening to his "velvet voice"...Thanks again!!!

I am 61 and my dad use to love his music when he was killed in a plane crash not long after a Irish singer Val Doonagan appeared and dad said he will take over from Jim Reeves. It never happened!!!!

I like many artists and even many kinds of music - mostly I am 'old country' fan, but a lil Synyrd (the old boys) never hurt anyone. These new guys are OK, but truly there is something about Jim, Merle, the Possum, etc. that will never die, and these new fellows can't seem to touch our hearts like those guys!

Jim Reeves was great - I saw a couple of videos about his Museum - his Wife was there, she was precious!

if i remember correctly, i first heard this beautiful song in 1963. it was written by the late ALEX ZANETIS. no one could have sang it better than Gentleman JIM. thanks for posting this great song by a great artist.

Hi David, another super video of "The Gentelman" , I must find out how to make these. Jim did a tour of Ireland in June 1963 and two packed shows in the Ulster Hall, Belfast on the one day! The tickets were sold out weeks in advance! I only wish he was still with us!

My Dad played Jim's records when I was a girl...  and he sang along while he was shaving... we didn't have much money, but when Dad sang, we were happy and knew all was good... and that he would always keep us close... this brings back great memories...

I don't know where i got the picture from I just searches for pictures of a jury and did not know until I had made the video that there were celebrities in there.
