i disagree with you. they never take a backward step. my family friend breeds these dogs ( strictly pure bread ) imported from South Africa .. and these dogs attack and kill 300 kg wild pigs. there's videos i've watched where it shows it. and they're not known to kill a lion, but they can kill leopards, and my family friend has seen it himself.... these dogs are so strong its not funny, they're bite was measured on one videa and they can bite down 506 lbs, that's stronger then a wolf.

We have Boerboels. Our 2 adults play with their puppies JUST like that. Notice the puppy continuing to go back to the adult. If it were being attacked it would RUN. Our puppies play fight and drive the parents NUTS and then when mom gets tired and snaps at them, they take off running.

The only thing I didn't like is the use of stairs JMHO - don't think it's a good idea for a 'big - boned' breed to be allowed up & down stairs.
