I remember this show very well. Smashing Pumpkins opened. Billy Corgan had long hair. They got Booed! and GNR didn't get on the stage until after 11pm. They played til nearly 2am. 2nd Show was cancelled due to Axl's arrest warrant in Missouri.

Slah was (is) such an ingenious writer and performer. It can be said that nothing on guitar can ever be new because it's all been done before. But slash even broke that rule. I have been playing for 17 years, and I still look up to Slash's material as a goal and as a musical mentor.

Back in 1994 I was in a coma for 24 days. During that time, this song was RINGING in my entire conciousness. I had strange visions of Axl Rose dictating my life, making choices FOR me, while Duff held my hand leading me in the right direction under Axl's instructions. Whenever I decided to think for myself, Axl would get the piston of his gun, aim it at my head and say "shoot the son of a bitch again". It was a traumatic experience, and again highlights the "dark" nature of this song.
