Guys this video was shit, but it's really simple to do. You have to unscrew those 2 screws with an alan wrench, place the the bottle cage over them and just return the screws over the cage into the bike.
i just put 2 waterbottle cages on my new mtb and wen i take out the bottle to drink its really cramped so is kida hard to get out... its really tight is that just how it is?? does it just need to be broken in?
You failed to mention that the Allen key NEEDS to be in a METRIC size NOT SAE as many keys are made, as far as sizes the majority will be a 4mm size but some especially on mountain bikes will have a 5 mm size head, (Using an SAE in place of a Metric key will likely strip out the fitting so be carefull!!),
you should also opt for a Bondhaus Allen key (Park Tools makes a nice 3 way, 4,5,6 mm) that allows you to enter the bolt even at an angle, though it's not designed for final tightenting.
@Begbucks look if people watching this dont have a allen key set they souldnt try this diy. hell if they are watching this for instruction they should just quit now
David, i have a problem... can't seem to fit the allen wrench into the philips screws that came with the bottle cage, what do i do? It seems very complicated, mebbe i just should go to the bike shop and get myself a new bike?
Why do so many expert village how to videos already have the steps carried out? The point of the video is to show step by step, from the beginning, no matter how simple it seems.
what if your mountain bike frame does not have holes for the allen bolts to go in?
