this was very sad, i was there too. The people where trying to see if the driver was ok, but he didn't respond because he was dead. But now he's in a better place. RIP Austin.

@starfleet1993 The system is not automated, there are "pilots" in the front of the monorail, and after the accident, they now have "spotters" in the back. As for the track, and MAPO system, several people control that, and also switch the tracks. It is not automated.

I will never go on a monorail.One day when we went to Walt Disney World my mom said "Monorails are scary!Never go on a monorail or you will get hurt or die.".Thats why I will never ever,ever,ever go on a monrail.

oh and the pink monorail went into reverse which clearly meant that it was bound to crash into the purple one which meant that it killed austin.. the 21 year old guy. thats the only person who died though

It was on the Epcot line but at the Transportation Center. Amazing how fast Disney built one of their walls to hide the wreckage. Still can't believe this.
