to be honest, learning to read from the music sheet will enable you to play what you want instead of waiting for tutorials, also the sheet have markings which will show you when to use pedal, forte etc which is much better than tutorials
@ilovecheeriomix Sure, just divide mathematical ;) 4th note on your left hand has to been played exactly in the middle between 6th and 7th note on your right hand.
1st left = 1st right
2nd left after 1 5/6 right
3rd left after 3 2/3 right
4th left after 5 1/2 right (exactly the middle between 6th and 7th note)
5th left after 7 1/3 right
6th left after 9 1/6 right
Just practise this really really slow and increase the tempo slowly, then i shouldn't be a big problem
@elwoyku I meant as in have the different notes show up in an animation as he plays them. An audio-visual connection allows much easier learning of music than from sheet music.
@whatev12987 I don't think its easier to learn a piece when you see someone is playing it. It's much easier for me to play from sheets than to look at someones tutorial on youtube, i think it can play it ten times faster when practising with sheets.
@pianoland Thanks, but actually i don't really like this performance anymore ;) I haven't played this piece for a long time, maybe i'll practise it again and record a new version, i remeber that it was much fun to play it...
That's crazy it's a digital piano. I didn't know they made them to look like real pianos too! Usually you can tell cause the sound is so synthetic, but this one's so realistic. Pretty cool.
The Sound is rendered by Steinbergs The Grand 2 on my computer while playing. As soon as i find the time i will re-record this piece with the newer version, The Grand 3, just to show the difference. The soundquality is much better in the newer version.
dude you should use just a bit more pedal, and play more softly, it is a soft piece and most of it is in "piano" tone, so i think you should improve it, but besides all that, it was awesome man!
I am thinking to purchase a keyboard and to get into world of digital. What type of computer and memory do you advice in order to play a VST instrument and create orchestration.Thanks...
Take a look at my Youtube-profile, theres a list of my equipment. In order to play the VST in realtime you need a good audio interface with fast drivers or you'll have too much latency while playing. At the moment i'm always using all components of my second configuration (except the piano and the microphones ;) ) and i've upgraded to "The Grand III".
I am practicing this piece and I must say, very nice rhythm, it is taking me quite a long time to get the rhythm correct for both hands.
I still have lot's of ground to cover though, I'm still in the second page (padarevski) . I will be using this video for reference, thanks for posting!
Ehhhh Yeah. I understand that electric pianos can mask feeling, but I feel like he ruins it anyways. If you look at 1:28-1:34 he not only ruins the first entrance into D flat major, but he ruins the contrasting B-flat (Written as forte, you played the same way you played the rest of the "ppp" part). as well. The dynamic here is ppp and he actually plays it louder than previously (which was pp). Just some constructive criticism :P.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
No feeling. Chopin is all about giving soul to the piece and I didn't feel that you did so. You're also playing it too fast. Particularly in this piece, sensing every note is the key to a good interpretation.
He's actually playing at the right pace, maybe a shade slower than many professional recordings I've heard. It's similar to the speed I play it , depending how I feel at the time. The tempo indication for this piece is Allegretto.
Thanks. To your question: When you have 11 to 6, only the 1st notes connect both hands. It's a little bit tricky at the beginning. If you calculate it, you would have to play 11/6 notes from the right hand for every note on the left hand, so the 2nd note on the left hand should be played a little bit before the 3rd on the right hand.
A hint:The 4th note on the right hand should be played exactly in the middle between the 5th and 6th on the right hand.22 to 12 is played the same, just 2 times in series.
Yes it has been played on a digital piano, but it was connected to a vst instrument via midi-interface to improve sound quality. Unfortunately i had no real piano in my apartment when i recorded the video ;)
hes not lucky, he just practiced. go practice now, and you'll know it very soon and impress many people with this beautiful piece. nicely played. God bless. :)
i had a Roland electric pno- needed to take piano with me to some performances- and, now that ive been practicing on my new grand (yay!!!)and I went back to it, I was amazed at how light and insipid the touch is. Also, electrics will never match in resonance to any real piano
can't u all see? its an electronic piano. the sounds produced are totally digitalised. blokes with shallow pockets go for such ind. personally i would rather go for a common upright grand rather than such shit.
Wow...That piano sounds so good. So does the music! Great job. This is the best interpretation ive seen yet. How long did it take you to learn this piece? I just finished op72 no1.
The way I practice them is to break them up into like thirds (I was doing that on this piece yesterday) and do them slowly, and then gradually faster. And then put them together. :)
I think this is pretty good. Then again, I think most peices I hear are pretty good...<.<;; I could listen to this for hours, though. I love it when people play the piano...it helps me calm down, and this helped me calm down today. :] Yet again, good job!
I'm no expert, but this is one of my favorite pieces when played with greater comprehension and interpretation. I also find it to be a particularly emotional, atmospheric, and delicate composition. I know this is more difficult than it sounds, but try to "feel" the music, rather than just playing the notes. Watch the dynamics as well. Overall, you have a lot of potential. I would love to hear you play this again sometime after a bit more practice. Keep up the good work :)
A bit childish in certain aspects, sometimes destroying the character of the piece. I recommed you hear some recordings(by Alfred Cortot, Rubinstein, Maria João Pires and Guiomar Novaes) and think about the music in other way. Not only the notes, but the meaning of them, and harmonies, and atmospheres and all the colours between the dynamics.
Lovely
