@Brocolli3bunny i don't think it was underscored, 'cause the drop costed her a lot + she had a loss of stability, say, at 1:30 (difficulty and points lost), + the overall difficulty level was not that crazy ;)
but im really happy to see her again and hope that she ll be constantly improving her performance
@outthehead Having watched it again I think you're right. Her technique isn't as good as it used to be- a little off balance in the pivots- and yes the difficulty not as high as the other competitors. But it had beautiful expression, I wish RG nowadays had more of this but then I guess it wouldn't be a sport. I miss the 90s RG.
@Brocolli3bunny the artistic aspect of the routine is undeniably great, but the rest is not that impressive compared to what other girls.. she definitely has great skills in apparatus handling, but she s always had problems with the difficulty level in terms of her elements.. and I love her for her originality, speed and her own style, but quite objectively she s not a top rank competitor in todays RG.. but it's definitely great to see her back! (and yes, today, RG is miles away from the 90s)
@outthehead thats not true dont forget that contrary to the others top gymnasts it was a new code of points for her , and shes not as young as she used to be when she was on top AND look at her hoop routine there are few of the most difficults elements from the code of points . If theres a problem its her execution , but stoping rg during one year didn't help .
@Sajtosphil To stay on the podium of the final for team (they finished at the fourth place) because there wasn't a strong team from Ukraine and so they tried to reinforce it with Natalia
@giocosathequeen also, Natalia wanted to try things out one more time for Worlds, since she didn't compete in the Individual All-Around in 2007 in Patras and regretted it.
we want to the old natalia :c , among athens 2004 and beijing 2008
