  • @spmcconville She looks beautiful here, but her voice hasn't held up as well as James - but still - they're legends and deserve a great deal of respect. They have a beautiful friendship.

  • Unbelievable that she's the one who wrote this song.

God bless her,..I still like The Shirelles version best.

  • Lovely to see such a beautiful, confident, gifted woman.

  • Aloha Prober45 it's not sad to see her getting older, it is great that she is with us while she gets older and can still share her music and talent with us...age is not the definitive in life.

    Maluhia

  • I saw them in Concert They are the best of the best and both Carole King and James Taylor are American treasures

  • Since the first time I heard her back in the early 70's have been in love CK and than what words do you use to describe JT; 2 of the most wonderful artist to ever grace this planet....

  • Beautiful, but different from the Amy Winehouse cover.

  • God what a beautiful lady, and handsome man. She still rocks my world. Just look at her eyes and smile. She is infectious.!

  • Gosh, what talented musicians they are!

  • Carol, you have aged beutifully. Just like a natural woman. Bless you.

  • One of the most beautiful songs ever written. Timeless

  • Carole & JT just keep getting better !

  • I hope that I can age as gracefully as Carole King. She looks great.

  • Jumping back and forth between this and their 1971 concert is a trip. Oh how lovely it is to see the graceful age.

  • The bassist also played with Phil Collins :)

  • HAD

  • It was wonderful to watch to legends of Pop music performing together on the stage.

I don't know why I always thought that Carol King was a colored singer It was until I saw her in a live concert in Youbute that I realized that I was wrong. I lover her super hit "You've got a friend" which Mr. Taylor made one of his own greatest hits.

  • It happens that new generations listen to Amy Winehouse's version of this classic melody and they take for granted that Amy herself made it a hit which is completely false!!. Lack of musical culture among these guys besides their ignorance about the oldies but goodies so they think "there is no comparison". That's why new generations disqualify other versions they've never known of heard of

  • @Joeltrejo62 Im apart of the new generation. But I like stuff this. Amy's version was nice too. All the older musicians are waaaay better than the trash put out now. Can't really bear to listen to all the mainstream artists out now.

  • @dearestjen there are very good new artist, pay more atention.

  • Love them both!!! Beautiful!!!!!

  • Carole still has it. What a classic lady. Always loved her music.

  • first record I ever bought by the Shirelles - that was a time when writers sat in offices at the Brill Building and tried to think up melodies and words to make us buy records. but what they were really doing is pouring out their hearts and dreams and trying to think of what made teenagers tick? making songs of love. it's reigned over us since the start of music - just changed styles and scales and tempos. But the feelings are all the same..ask anyone who has a heart

  • This was my favourite song when I was 17! 40 yrs ago Carole.I wore out the record! Thx -a beautiful ballad that will last forever!

  • A classic from two classic performers. No one today can come close to them. This song brings back so many memories...............and memories I wish I had.

  • GREAT MUSIC FOR ALL YOUNG STOLEN LOVE.

  • Lol; both these old folks don't have even 10% of their original voices left, and they still sound better than all the shit out today.

  • I love Carole King´s voice but specially in this song, when I heard Amy Winehouse´s version.... I prefer Amy´s.

  • still the one

  • you can tell they still love each other. look at the looks on their faces

  • good to see you're aging gracefully. You're beauty has no bounds and your talent is eternal.

  • @SLKing320 Totally agree, that is talent, both of them. Carole looks beautiful and sounds divine. No one can compete what we had.

  • Oh Carol, you have aged soooo gracefully. You're still such a "shaineh maidel" Your marvelous work "Tapestry" provided the musical background to the love affair of my life. Breast cancer claimed her ten years ago but when I see you singin sweet Carole it all comes back. Bless you Carole King. Oy vey, he already has. You look lovely and sound great.

  • Beautiful smiles, beautiful people ...

  • Carole looks so beautiful in this video.

  • Carole, your smile is just BEAUTIFUL!

  • just one word :

    *fantastic*

  • Just a couple of legends. Love them both.

  • Good Lord! I've loved this song since I was 13. I'm now 53 and this song is STILL a favourite of mine... always will be. She's always been one of my favourite song writers and performer's and with J.T. singing along - just beautiful......

  • wow...

  • from japan.que sonrisa mas bonita tiene!!grande grande grande!muak

  • From Barcelona... A sus pies señora!... Grande! Grande! Grande!...

  • thanks erikmeijs, i first heard carol's song when i was a teenage, now we're all aged. i wonder why carol'd never come to hong kong.

  • my answer would be yes Sandra i loved you from the moment we met till the moment you departed this earthly world and thank you for your last words "I love you" they keep me going in my darkest times (if you don't get it my Wife died and the rest is sorrow)

  • i just watched them play together in the late 60s why do we have to get old.still good though.

  • Unforgettable, undying, timeless...very beautiful song...Carole King was the Madonna, the Lady Gaga, the Whitney Houston, etc of her time but her songs lives and still touches the hearts of this generation... :-)

  • still so beautiful, forty years since Tapestry was released. timeless

  • AMAZING

  • Carole has been my "Music Goddess" since my HS years. She will always be the only one to sing my favorites. "It Might As Well Rain Until September" was what won my heart so many years ago. Her Tapestry CD rocks, and so does her "Living Room Tour" CD and DVD. She has become a legend in her own time. I love you, Carole!

  • @oldboy229 kudos for your word " l o v e l i g h t " ~ adorable .... indeed ~

  • Who's the singer?

  • Saw them in '71 and they are still as awesome today!!!

  • Just great but look at the age of the people and think they all did listen to this music and still scewed up the world, but there is no music better than this.

  • Carole's smile - my God she is a light!

  • When women say "It's not fare Men always look better as they get older" Need to look at Carole King. She's more beautiful now that in 1971.

  • look in the mirror. youre older too...lol. really if you know this song

    time is hell

  • look in the mirror. youre older too...lol. really if you know this song

  • This is my mosty favorite song of all time, and these two are my favorite singers. I hate to see them getting so old. Time is a bitch...

  • @apsscinc i agree,i love both.it blows away anything today.

  • Good god! Is that Lee Sklar on bass?

  • Carole and James are two of my favorites. Their music touched my life.

  • We will never see her likes again....pure natural talent. Respect man.

  • - this is great music from another time and another world,,, and it is actually sad to think that this music is from a BETTER time and a BETTER world.... if more people had listened to this music, maybe the world would have been a better place, instead of the madhouse that it its today. Peace and light to you all.

  • I love you Carole!

  • Nope....music just isn't made like this anymore. I feel like putting on a pair of bell bottoms....where's my mood ring? So mellow, so beautiful. This is the type of music that separates US from the animals...Wow.

  • A passionate, beautiful, talented musician

  • Beautiful Carole. A smile like sunshine.

  • I love her natural face. Not like the Botox clowns of 2011. This is a beautiful, talented woman.

  • Carole looks and sounds great. So does James. Why are we all so scared of old age? We weren't meant to stay 18 forever.

  • ...anche se gli anni sono passati...lo spirito rimane tale per due splendidi non più giovani grandi artisti.....

  • STILL AWESOME!!

  • i could do nothing like that at 19 wow

  • Well she has been singing along time ...Born February 9, 1942 (1942-02-09) (age 69)

  • I wish she would give me her ranch in Idaho. I can't afford the $16,000,000 price tag.

  • love this place x

Please come listen my love songs . subscribe whatever say hello x Andy.

  • Her voice is failing badly. But her smile is the same.

  • @RDJim At this point it's not about the voice. It's about a legend being on stage. The legend, the memory, the magic. Weathering from good use is a beautiful thing.

  • @RDJim Sounds like she just needs to warm up a little ...

  • They both sound great. Their Music will Transcend time. Truly 2 of the best.

  • @KeithJohnson27 it already has! Can't remotely imagine listening to Kanye West and Katy Perry with my future children the way I listened to Carole, and James (and all the other GREATS before my time) with my parents. I can't imagine these guys are impressed with the current state of our music industry...

  • There is meaning in the glances Carole and James give each other. I feel sorry for the other guy, he must feel like a third wheel on a bicycle! lol

  • @mthrfckr9 You're an idiot this is WAY better than Gaga

  • beautiful woman.

  • The first time I heard her years ago, I loved her voice and her songs particularly this song. thanks for posting this one!

  • Lovely............

  • hard to see our music heroes getting old

  • Here on YouTube we can see Carole and James in 1971 and in 2011. After more than 40 years they still love performing and they still sound wonderful, their voices, the piano and guitar. So may greats have left us and I am so happy that they are still here. I loved the Troubadour Reunion Tour. Thanks to all who performed and to all who made it happen. A special thank you to Nicolette's husband.

  • i loved her then, i love her now. She was beautiful then, and will always be. Back in the day, the throaty voice like Carole and Janis were unusual and appreciated. The songs from the heart and soul of american teenagers. Those were troubled times, and i thank god for artists like carole who gave so much to us in their music. god bless u
