Deep Purple are my favourite band of all time. I've heard every single track that they ever released, and I can honestly say that I think this is the best song they've ever recorded.

They played about half the Purpendicular album when i saw them live in '96 but not this one. Morse shines on this track, really atmospheric playing. I think this song has been performed a bit in recent years by the current lineup.

man there are some good songs on purpendicular and abandon and this is one of them. total fucking attitude. check out bloodsucker, watching the sky, whatsername, evil louie, cascades im not your lover.
