The ending makes sense as soon as you look into the child's eyes reading the poem. The child is unknowingly memorising the poem, then cut back to Neeson....and we all know what happens.

If the ending where any different it would have been too much. Awsome review i definately agree with every point. It was a some, just a few things could have gone better. Some people don't even die due to the wolves, so they look like whimps. The black guy dies of just pure frostbite while sleeping and the guy had just pissed and got friggin owned by that one bitch(best sentence ever including the word bitch) ass wolf. And the end he had those tequila bottles and the Swiss knife and then it ended. That sucked.
