Finally, I found it, non of the others actually work on youtube. -.-
haha
I like it how its kinda bad quality, so you cant tell that they've just put Forrest in there, and the actual footage is a good 20 years older than him :L haha
i wonder how they did this scene and the one where he's with the president. You can tell it's fake, but god damn he did a good job for the time..R.I.P John Lennon
When I was younger when this movie was out, I totally didn't catch the fact that Forrest was supplying the lyrics to Imagine. I thought John Lennon was just butting in. But now I know and this scene is even greater for it.
i love this clip! Especially at the end where the look as if he is piecing what he said together and making the song on the spot...incredible...Lennon, gone but never forgotten
I'm been watching the original interview and at one point John mentions wanting to go to China and mentions ping pong. I'm surprised they didn't use that part as well.
its not john lennons voice for many down below wondering....the guy who did the voice for the movie is Joe Stefanalli...(sorry for the spelling)...but he's a john lennon impersonator. :)
Great. :D I love Forrest Gump, and this is one of my favorite scenes. I'm a huge Lennon fan, so that last line always gets me. I love Forrest's simple and innocent way of talking; it's just so beautiful, and well suited especially about John's death.
These special effects were supposed to be so groundbreaking, but those scenes where they pasted Tom Hanks into old footage were the fakest looking thing I'd ever seen. That technology clearly had a long way to go.
if you look at it today, maybe. one thing i notice in this scene is how lennon's footage clashes with the rest (he is the only "authentic" one in this shot, cavett was just made up to look younger); I can't really place it, but he looks blurrier... as if john's footage was shot with tv cameras, and the rest with motion picture film. tom and dick look sharper. also, I saw this video back to back with the snippett from where john's footage was taken, and you can tell dick's older here.
Fuck you Mark Chapman. I doubt you will ever get parole for what you did.

The voice isn't the best, but having Lennon conceive of "Imagine" and get all serious-looking - that's great

jejeje estar al lado de un genio...
y sin querer lo inspiras para que componga su canción más famosa, jejeje.
Puede ser la parte más triste de la peli (junto con la de las muertes de Bubba, la madre de Forrest y la de Jenny, claro)
