this music is unbelievable and "angels in america" was truly a work of art if you ask me. A bit hard for some to understand or to tolerate but i found it incredible how they managed to "wrap up" such a good story following so many story-lines and still being able to present the political/cultural/spiritual aspects of the 80s.

I have some of Thomas Newmans songs on my ipod and I swear, everytime i walk out the door, (it doesnt matter where im going) It feels like im in a movie!
Everything becomes so beautiful and meaningful. I remember walking and the wind blew some flower petals from a tree in my path just at the climax at a part of one of his songs and it was pure MAGIC!!!!

Some of this gives me the same feeling as the soundtrack from Finding Nemo, believe it or not... There's something very aquatic about it to me, very otherworldly.
Beautiful song! I'll have to pick up this soundtrack. I loved the music for the HBO specials. ^^

Actually, if I'm not mistaken, the picture shown on this site does not match the scene for this music. I think Mauve Antarctica is when the closeted gay Mormon guy's wife begins halucinating from all the pills she's been taking.
