Ron West is a very successful comedy writer, and was hilarious as Professor Strudwick in Third Rock. I admit this sort of thing is not his strength. Still, he's still not the least funny performer in this episode.
sadly to say fellow from two months ago with an over-inflated ego and chock full of trivia, he did quite poorly and was a bit slow. like griff, "Oh right, there's nothing there." 5:00
I didn't get half of the others, either, but their delivery is so good that it's still funny (of course it would be funnier if I knew who they were making jokes about).
no one tries to sell me shiiit! :D

John does "Zippy the Zipping Man". The following series, Tony does his "parting of the Red Sea" which involves the same thing... :oP

Watch the entire episode, not just this clip.
Improv isn't West's strength, many successful comedians have come on this show and learned that the hard way (Ardal O'Hanlon, anyone?).
