Scottish diesel maker which still makes engines to this day, and possibly one of the oldest in the UK.

The Grand Turk at whitby has 2 kelvin 8 cylinder inline engines, with turbos, any similarity do u think.

i would have thought the grand turks engines would be of similar size and power of that fitted to the endeavour,yeh,i know endeavour has 2 caterpillar diesels, but you get what i mean!!

Lovely engine, what is the approx RPM at cruising speed?

Hi. Thanks for you kind comment, canal cruising speed is 350 to 400 RPM and 800 RPM on a river. Tickover is 225 RPM and full speed is 1000 RPM. Mike
