Thx for showing how to load. Your instructions much easier than those included with ATG. I have a problem when using the gun...the adhesive balls up rather than laying flat. What am I doing wrong?

I currently use the ATG 714 tape gun. I print out 6x4 pictures I have printed and using the tape gun put them on 7x5 card stock. I just put tape on all four edges. I am wondering if you think that using the 1/2 in tape might be a better route to got to tape more surface are area down.

Thanks for sharing this video. I purchased the ATG today and was frustrated trying to load the tape for the 1st time. The instructions that come with it are useless in my opinion. I decided to youtube seach on how to load the tap and found your video. THANKS! I was finally able to load the tape without any problems.

Is the used paper strip supposed to pass over the top of the left roll? Mine returns back behind the left roll then twists to make it over the right roll since they have the right side platform raised about 1/2", therefore it is even with the left side which causes the tape to twist. My tape gets looser when I use it so obviously I'm doing something wrong. Heeelllpp please.

I am ready to pull my hair out!!!!! ARGHHHH!! lol. I got my atg gun about a month or so ago now. The first time I put tape in it it went in and worked like a charm. Tonight however ...different story. I run out & go to refill it and it won't work. I watched 3 diff videos just to be sure I'm doing it right but still no luck. Its being put in the gun right im sure, but when i go to use it its like it doesn't want to move & YES I've got the trigger held down while using it lol. Help plsssss!!!!! TY

The gun you want for multiple tapes is the 700. I don't think you can use the larger tapes in the 714.

Ok - So I dont know if it is just me or not, but when I use my atg gun (714) how come the tap doesn't stick to the paper? It is alway stringy and becomes a ball on the paper? I don't get why it won't stick to the paper...HELP!!!!!!

I just got my ATG gun today. I read the directions but wasn't comfortable so I found your video on you tube. The video was very helpful not only in learnign how to reload the gun but how to actually use the gun. With a little practice I think I've got. I saw one for sale with the clear cover missing. Do you think it would still be workable? If not do you know where to buy a new clear cover? Lastly, do you think the atg 700 with the adaptor for 1/4 inch tape is also really easy? If so I don't really get why they even made this 1/4" one that is not as versatile..

I would think that it would work without the cover, but I wouldn't recommend it. My fear would be getting dust in the adhesive and the risk of accidentally breaking the tape. I haven't tried the atg 700, but I would assume they load the same way.

I created an account here just so I could thank you for your excellent demonstration! I have the ATG 700 and I always have a most difficult time loading it. I always get the tape in backwards and I did not know about the two slots on the right side in which to thread the tape. The last time it took me 30 minutes to load - with your help it took under 2 minutes! Thank you!

The video was great! I think I have mine loaded correctly, but why does too much tape come out. The adhesive sticks to the paper and the tape keeps coming out! I waste a lot of adhesive because the tape pulls out even when I let go of the trigger. Any ideas?

Thank you so much for doing this. I have this gun and do love it but loading it has always been a major pain for me. I would watch the video for the product over and over and then try to load it and still had problems. I loaded mine with you and it was a breeze and I feel for the first time that I got it. I'm still saving your video for the next time.
