Bocelli and Katherine are in such different classes it's fucking embarassing/painful to watch this. Bocelli sings with restraint, taste, composure, heart - Katherine just prances about and flourishes all over the place. Making a song sound good is not a matter of the range and frequency of your glissando or interjecting random 'mmm yeahs' wherever the fuck you feel like.

If you watch this one and then watch Christina's version, you'lll see even Andrea Bocelli enjoyed himself more with Katherine McPhee. Christina tries to hard, and Katherine has such a pure, unaltered, angelic voice.
i like this version better than christina's, but katherine still sings the same runs as christina. i feel like the only difference lies in their tone and volume, which still undoubtedly changes the song dynamic tremendously. i wish someone would make an acoustic cover of this song with bocelli so that the lovely melody could be emphasized rather than their vocal capabilities.

A much more romantic and melodic version of Andrea y Katherine McPhee, Christina Aguilera tries to compete vocally with a tenor like Andrea Bocelli, and the contrast is this girl almost screaming to just tone a few romantic notes, I was surprised to realize this version is better. Aguilera just went over the limits she should have song that romantic song, it is not meant for yelling her voice as loud as she can.
Excellent video...Andrea seems to have a special gift to bring out the best in his partners...especially the females...with the exception of Cristina Aguilera...she did seem to torture the song...and it felt almost as a competition with shrill notes than a duet. Congrats to Katherine McPhee...her voice does have this plaintive quality that sucks the listener in and demands your attention. I can't say that I'm a huge fan of Katharine McPhee, but she is wonderful in this duet! Andrea Bocelli is always simply amazing but the other popular version of this song with Christina Aguilera pales in comparison. Aguilera is better suited as a soloist, as she doesn't know how to back off enough to sing a harmony, let alone a duet. As much as I respect Aguilera's voice, the more and more I hear her sing I feel she struggles to find the tender moments in songs. Anyhow...bravo on this duet!

I love Katherine's version than Cristina though. I was amazed at Cristina's voice, but Katherine's voice was really fitted for this song. I thought she was really the Female Singer since she has really have an angelic voice while Cristina has the voice of a Dragon, so powerful that it would destroy everything.

@johnphine @TheIntensity101 she was no trying to over sing him , the female part of this song always require a very high soprano , christina has a dark timbre to her voice , which make her voice extremely powerful , but her voice is not alway powerful , for if you should look at when she perform i love porgy , it was still , sweet and very soft , Katherine voice is not powerful , but i don't see how her performance was any different from Christina's especially @1 :57 and @2:13

@MsTreysongz1 Well, the only difference in this situation is that Katherine was actually holding andrea's hand which really made an impact to the audience that they were singing a romantic song, that they should be really "act" as a lover since its really the concept of the song but in Christina's ver. she was like 1 ft. away from him and doesn't even care if what the music is all about. She could have just sat actually, no offense :)

If you watch this one and then watch Christina's version, you'lll see even Andrea Bocelli enjoyed himself more with Katherine McPhee. Christina tries to hard, and Katherine has such a pure, unaltered, angelic voice.

i like this version better than christina's, but katherine still sings the same runs as christina. i feel like the only difference lies in their tone and volume, which still undoubtedly changes the song dynamic tremendously. i wish someone would make an acoustic cover of this song with bocelli so that the lovely melody could be emphasized rather than their vocal capabilities.

I simply said that I was never really a big fan of Katharine McPhee, but followed it up by saying that she did a great job in this duet. As for Aguilera, I simply said she is better as a soloist in my opinion (again...not on a dig on her overall talent). Nonetheless, you're more than welcome to disagree with my taste in music. Music, or any art for that matter, is subjective. That's part of what makes it great!

I Love the voice of Katharine McPhee in R&B Sounds but she don't fit in this category sorry, but this girl don't sing spanish very well and besides the voice is so normal in this song... don't empress me for notting. I like the version of the real latina Christina Aguilera, she is a good singer, she can sing ballad, r&b, blue, jazz, Pop, rock, Salsa, Merengue... She is so unique, fresh and versatil in many ways... Otherwise the way katharine is take in their music is horrible,contry music.

I love katheine's voice for this, the tone and emotion are beautiful. What I don't like is her spanish. She can't do the accent and that is killing it for me. Reminds me of my german father trying to read the menu at a mexican restaurant.

This song is sung how it was meant to be. Simple. Beautiful. Elegant. The one sung with him and Christina was just awful. She, at many times, tried to have singing matches with Andrea. I would also like to point out that Christina has appear only once maybe twice, to my knowledge, with Andrea. Whereas, Ms, McPhee has appear numerous times.

watched christina and kat mcphee versions and McPhee's version is a lot better. Christina aguilera is a great singer, but she needs to learn how to stop being a "bedroom" player (learn how to sing with others).
Though, Kathrine McPhee needs to learn how to be stronger solo, the say Christina Aguilera is. So its a trade off.

Christina oversang this song with Andrea, that is right. Fact is that Katharine mimicked Christina in almost all the runs, so she wasn't creative enough to make it her own. So for me it's not better, it's the same, really.

A much more romantic and melodic version of Andrea y Katherine McPhee, Christina Aguilera tries to compete vocally with a tenor like Andrea Bocelli, and the contrast is this girl almost screaming to just tone a few romantic notes, I was surprised to realize this version is better. Aguilera just went over the limits she should have song that romantic song, it is not meant for yelling her voice as loud as she can.

Excellent video...Andrea seems to have a special gift to bring out the best in his partners...especially the females...with the exception of Cristina Aguilera...she did seem to torture the song...and it felt almost as a competition with shrill notes than a duet. Congrats to Katherine McPhee...her voice does have this plaintive quality that sucks the listener in and demands your attention. I wonder where she is now thought...I thought she was headed for stardom...

I can't say that I'm a huge fan of Katharine McPhee, but she is wonderful in this duet! Andrea Bocelli is always simply amazing but the other popular version of this song with Christina Aguilera pales in comparison. Aguilera is better suited as a soloist, as she doesn't know how to back off enough to sing a harmony, let alone a duet. As much as I respect Aguilera's voice, the more and more I hear her sing I feel she struggles to find the tender moments in songs. Anyhow...bravo on this duet!
