  • ese es un spike no un meteor.

  • @GuViPo Meteor Smash = Spike

  • its ok i cant even meteor smash. last time i tried i fell to my death =(

  • LOL Chaingrabbing. XD

  • It's not just Falso, you can chain grab with many other characters but some are more difficult or even strange. My best is Lucario and I can chain grb with him and nobody sees it coming. (By the way, Lucario's chain grab is foward-B)

  • But they're fun to beat up. :D

  • it's not that hard to do. i've been doing that before i even noticed this video.

  • Lolz stuoid ike

  • If you use this move, you'll love it.

If someone uses this move on you, you'll hate it....

  • a good example of will it work on a human player...Ex Link

1.Link Can be rape by this easily done falco combo (so b4 i get a "it takes skillz to do that" no it does not)

    2. A Smart Link will always hav a bomb during a match againts a falco who of course knows or should know hot to chaingrab.

3.A Smart Player will know that the chaingrab wont work if ur at 40% damage or higher (as long as u dont give up or u dont suck)

4.A good link player will space himself from a falco if nessary

  • It works on human players, experts might dodge it , though. But it can be easily be dodged with high jump characters like lucario and luigi.

    (Falco user)

  • Yeah, neat idea, but certainly wouldn't work in a Human Player. I'd have caught on to your Chain Grabbing by the second one, and Meteor Smashing me that level with the stage, heh, good luck with that. Good concept though.

    =)

  • It can easily work on human players. Won't work on smart human players much though/

  • I don't think it takes too much intelligence to figure out that the constant chaingrabbing is doing a lot of damage and you should get out of it. Maybe it's just becuase I've been playing Smash Bros for a decade and it seems like common sense...

  • Yes, but not every has common sense. Though everyone i used it on, it works like once and it never happens again xD Used it about 12 times though. And only started usin falco bout a week ago? Tryin to learn about him since i use D3, who falco pretty much always rapes.

  • you do know its called a chain grab because its difficult to get out of right?

the person may not get the meteor smash on you but they are now up by about 50% witch is always a good advantage

  • actually, this works all the time on humans; just not in the variation shown in the video.

If i remember correctly, d-throw off the ledge into a shorthopped dair (although difficult to time correctly) will spike to almost death.

  • That's a nice variation of the actually tech, but it would only work with CPU's, I'm sure. Good vid. =)

  • nah bro, you'd be surprised at how many times ive pulled this on ppl...i main falco and for some reason most ppl dont expect that combo which is basically a bite in the ass

  • Hm, awesome. I'd like to try that one out for myself then.

  • yea, it just has a diffrent name.

  • why would I lie? I don't care if you people think i'm good at the game or not.

and I really don't care about all the technobabble. I'm putting him in a lock by grabbing him. Therefore, I call it GRAB LOCK.

  • WTF!!! Its called CHAIN GRAB, not Grab lock, or laser storm, Fucking Chain Grab, GOD Get it right noobs.

  • A chain grab doesnt mean to use an actual chain.... the "chain" mean like chaining a combo together. you know linking it together liek a chain is linked together....

  • Oh i see what u mean

    lol

    nvm

    sorry haha

  • duh

  • Get a life and stop commenting bad you nerd

  • Comment removed

  • Hell you know level 9 Ike is absolutely crap. I've defeated him with one hand and a wii mote and nunchuk. He's that rubbish

  • same

  • Comment removed

  • Cool. But what difference does it make if we use one hand or two? They're still gonna be just CPUs, crap CPUs

  • watch my vid i have a great chain grab to spike with falco

  • Its not a Grab Lock and Meteor smash,

It's a chain grab followed by a spike.

It's not that difficult once you grasp the concept.

  • nicee(:

  • Or you can always just end the Dthrow chain so you meteor smash them off right as they're next to the edge...

  • there are always the times where the cpu just PWNS YOU for a few minutes.

  • 00:37. epic fail.

  • wow i think my falco 20x better but other then that great job on the vid

  • great thanks

  • falco's down air is not a meteor smash its a full blown spile

difference meteor smash can be gotten out of by doing a meteor smash cancle

a spike cant be gotten out of

  • a meteor smash is just a move that sends you down with enough speed you cant recover from doing your double jump and midair move in time...

  • I thouhgt that both, metteor smash and spike were moves that throw you downwards... And that the difference between them was that the metteor smash could be metteor cancelled while the spike not. Can you please tell me if I am correct or the real definition of both??

  • i think your right

  • It doesnt even matter in brawl. You can cancel any of the spikes/meteors in brawl (including ganons ms/spike).

  • brawl haz no spikes.

  • they're just different names, meteor smash and spike are the same exact thing!

  • wrong, noob.

  • f**k you, know I'm not! The point is they both launch the foe down at high speeds!

  • A spike is an attack in SSBM that sends the opponent downward until the hitlag wears off.

A spike is not to be confused with a Meteor Smash, which also sends the opponent downwards, but can be Meteor Canceled before the hitlag depletes. now go die.........

  • Exactly. A spike is invariably more deadly than a meteor smash. To all nubs who don't really know how to play (but claim themselves skilled b/c they can beat their friends), a meteor smash can be canceled and you can survive. Obviously its not easy with a higher percentage. However, if you get hit by a spike...you're essentially f**ked.

  • one should add that there really are no spikes at all in brawl ;D at least afaik

  • nuu bcuz on the pal version of the game marths dair is only a MS instead of the usual spike on the NTSC version so unless u send me NTSC gamecube with melee i hate melee Q.Q

  • Sigh i miss it when you could just play the damn game to have fun.

  • agreed celestialMarauder

  • Yup

  • Yeah, it sucks when people have fun a different way than you do.

  • Spikes can be gotten out of o.O

    At least in Brawl >.>

Cause right after you get spiked you can Just up B it and then recover

Or it just uber phails and doesn't spike down o.o

  • spikes can NOT be gotten out of.

  • somewhat..

  • LOL -5, Brawl nubs rating you down for the truth, wow. :P +1 for you, Melee forever.

  • no, in no way

  • i hate it when ppl use this! >_> so fuckn annoying

  • It's not a grab lock thats a chain grab and its not a meteor smash its just a regular drill spike.

  • theres a better way to do this. If you down throw again you can easily Dair spike the opponent and most likely kill them.

  • theres a much better way

  • It's not a meteor : his ADA is a "spike".

  • Hm, only Donkey Kongs forward A is al meteor smash; that's just the name of the attack.

    Alle the others are spikes!:)

  • that was pretty sick, even tho is was a cpu.

  • lol thats sooooo cheap i luv it lolololol

  • Godforbid that the video was made to show a neat little trick for Falco user. No where in the description does it say "WATCH ME PWN THE CPU! IM THE BEST SMASHER ALIVE" He's just showing a trick to ppl who didnt already know this.

  • lol <3

  • Ike got pwned twice

  • its a computer retard

  • Erm, this chaingrab is inescapable up until a certain percent, DI makes no difference as you are constantly stunned.

  • ;_; can someone please explain how to meteor smash? :D

  • use a move thats a meteor.

    wow, that was hard.

  • @ytJigglypuff brawl is a fuckin JOKE. but that goes without saying. im SURE you knew this.

  • cheap move, it will be very hard to escape that

  • so what u do know that chain spamming a cpu requres no skill they dont have a DI fool

  • thatsss why i said a cpu is, and i quote, "no substitute for a living, breathing human player."

  • Final destination FTW. Competitive smash is so funny.

  • i luv to grap lok ppl get so angry..

  • also easier on heavy chars, obviously

  • it doesn't work at all on certain characters (i.e. jigglypuff) and the lighter ones (like diddy kong) can escape at about 15-20%.

  • Fair enough. Obviously, the good players will DI out of it but most of the people we play will probably be too flustered to escape properly.

  • I can tell that you are one of these good players. I wish I had a Wii so I could fight you.

  • Lol, i'm not actually any good with falco. I main Lucas/Marth/Zamus. But yeah if you get a Wii, let me know.

  • and fox is just the biggest subject to a chain grab in the world.

  • Damage doesn't affect the chain? Ike doesn't seem to fly very far.

  • works up to 50%, at which point u would hope to finish them off with a meteor, otherwise you fight as you would a normal fight, just with a great head start
