@ironman1997913 the homebrew games are free games, but like it says homebrew, they are made by people at home, not millionaire corporations. They are simple fun games that kids enjoy. like one app called KidsPaint is pretty cool. Also when you have homebrew, it unlocks the Wii to play .iso image files from a USB external hard drive. @machacoification oh that's simple. it means you plugged the hard drive in the wrong slot. It has to be the bottom port (one most towards the center of the backside). no you can't play DVD roms, you put the .iso images of games onto the hard drive. I used WBFS manager. Check my other video for those instructions.

@orangestasteyummy Yeah that's what I was using. I used a laptop that had a SD slot, shared the slot on my home network and used my desktop to transfer files wirelessly to the SD card. But yes a laptop will work no problem. Also you should check my other video for a much simpler method.

aight the first time I did this it worked fine and I had the Homebrew Channel, but I went to the Wii Shop Channel and updated it so I could see the new stuff that came out. When I came back to the Wii Menu the Homebrew Channel was gone. I tried to do everything all over again, but when I go to the stage builder on Super Smash Bros. it dont download, it just shows the stage bulider menu. I have no custom stages so that aint the problem, and I got a 2gb SanDisk. I'm so blown please help a brotha

@mbstylo We used to be able to with DVDX app for HBC. Since 4.3, we can't do that anymore. So the answer is no, unless you use something else like a DVD player or an Xbox

@Cremation186 Well in the video response and on my channel there is a new method much easier. If you use this Smash Stack Exploit, make sure stages are clear and it takes a few tries for most instances.

@NintendoxFighter why is this the new fad question? You CAN still load discs just fine. This is just unlocks your Wii's potential for homebrew games, and also playing .iso images of games from a hard drive.

@goku21701 it means you have no applications in the "apps" folder. if your Wii has wireless access, get onto HomeBrew Browser and download some apps. then you'll start seeing things.

@agzander101 check the video response for a newer simpler method. There is no update higher than 4.3 right now but in the future there is no reason to update your Wii. If you remove HBC it won't brick the wii in the future. HBC is better than any Nintendo update.

@Graioluster1337 go into HBC and run homebrew browser. Remember your "apps" folder has to be all lower case. Ex. "apps", not "Apps" or "Applications", etc. and inside there you should have your homebrew browser folder. Then just run the browser from HBC and start downloading apps.
