So pull the balle FIRST? SO chunks of YUCK can possibly flow into the drainage system? I think one should clean as many chunks as possible BEFORE you pull the baffle!

Thank you - I've never cleaned a grease trap before and found this very helpful. I had no trouble with the odor since I've changed enough diapers and cleaned enough kid messes to have a strong stomach but the guys in the warehouse looked like Jessie James and his gang with their bandannas covering their noses and mouths. Women definitely have the advantage with this task!
