Maybe TMobile WAS good but in the last 6 months they have become a total fail in customer service. Phone service is good but the people working there have all become foreign phone banks and you can't understand them. T-Mobile was the ONLY carier that LOST customers last year.
i used to be a t-mobile patron, but my family recently switched to Verizon 'cuz we got this coupon. Not happy with Verizon. You're bound to only use their CDMA phones. A friend gave me a Sprint phone because they also use CDMA. Verizon didn't allow me to use it because their CDMA cards arent the same.
I don't like being bound to their phones, and for my plan I was only able to choose 6 phones. I took the only one with the QWERTY keyboard. Once I move out, I am so swtiching to T-Mobile!!

I am also a t mobile customer and I am the same as you but my only complaint is that my service is not working when I go to the YMCA or go on the highway in certain states so I heard near the end of the video that you said sprint wasn't any good and I don't know how old this video is but sprint and verizon are the best

Loves me some T-Mobile. 3G coverage is good and improving steadily and the prices are AMAZING. The best part is I'm away from Sprint PCS, and their horrible service plus ugly billing errors. it seemed like I was calling in every other day to get them to remove bogus charges.
no way their 3G coverage is the worst in the nation and they don't do anyting if you have bad service where you live youll be there slave for 2 years or more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! get At&t they use sim cards and have much better coverage
I live out in boston and have t mobile and can't stand it..It is very fustrating when everyone around me with another carrier is using their phone and I cant because i can not get a signal..I do not even bother using my phone on the bus because if your moving a 2 minute call will take you 10 minutes because my call keeps getting dropped..once my contract runs out i will switch to verizon..
I currently have tmobile. The coverage in the Seattle/Tacoma area is excellent. I have had no problems with tmobile so far. But of course I have been with them only since december, but they have been good for me

They treat customer like us VERY well. All I have to say is, "Can you see how long I have been with you guys?" And I usually get almost anything I want - within reason! lol
Sorry, I don't know the answer to that, but on my family plan, there are no surcharges, just taxes. You can call t-mobile and see if there any surcharges.
sorry i meant taxes is your taxes over ten dollars ? i hear some other providers do charge ten dollars are over taxes I think that is CRAZY TO DO !!!!
crazy right i have been researching for my own plan att and sprint have more expensive surcharges and taxes cause 450 minutes for iphone monthly is 69.99 now add 11 dollars do to others taxes imposed every month
I thnk tmo is 850 also, but not sure. ALl I know is that they have been the best cellular provider I have ever used! Just still waiting on a FAMILY DATA PLAN!!! LOL
T-Mobile has 850 Mhz but only because they roam on AT&T. You cannot go onto the 850 Mhz frequency if T-Mobile "says" they have coverage otherwise. I think costumers would be MUCH more happy if they could roam freely onto ANY carrier on the GSM spectrum.
Purchase a quad band frequency phone from tmobile and you'll have that freedom. Remember though that companies have roaming agreements but they're not necessarily everywhere you want it to be.
My N95 and E71 are quad band and they are a little better than any of the t-mobile branded phones for getting 4 bars or more! Thanx again for the tip!
I live in Texas and the T-Mobile wireless coverage is horrible. In my house, I get either 1 or 2 bars and then when it tries to roam onto AT&T, I only get emergency service. I am trying the Hotspot at Home service and it works fine at home. When we go traveling to state parks I usually get 1 or 2 bars while my friend on AT&T gets 3 or 4 bars. I try to call my coworkers back home but always have to say what!? because the service is so bad. I really wish T-Mobile could roll out 850 Mhz.
I really wish I could like T-Mobile like you but I just can't. Everything about T-Mobile including their pricing, family plans, and costumer service is great but the coverage could be better. I am HAPPY when my phone allows me to roam onto AT&T in rural areas because the coverage is so much better. I do notice that the call quality is not as good on AT&T.
It's funny that some areas get GREAT coverage on different networks. Sprint is HORRIBLE where I am, but in Vegas, I used to have 5 abars - I DON"T LIVE IN VEGAS! lol. Maybe it is your phone. I used to have a Samsung and a Blackberry curve that usually only had 3 bars. I have a NOkia N95 AND an E71 and I ALWAYS have 4 bars or MORE! What phone do you have? in my experience, unlocked phones get better call quality - I don't know why, though. No more branded phones for me!
I have a Blackberry Curve 8320 branded to T-Mobile. Other phones on T-Mobile like the Sidekick tend to have 1 or 2 less bars than a Blackberry. I know why AT&T is better. AT&T and Verizon tend to use the 850 Mhz frequency which goes through buildings better and can travel about twice as far as the 1900 Mhz frequency. T-Mobile and Sprint ONLY use the 1900 Mhz frequency (with the exeption of Nextel). Boo! T-Mobile wants to get the 850 Mhz frequency but the FCC won't let them.
I see. You have taught me something today. The darn FCC! I knew my brother who has Verizon gets coverage EVERYWHERE and even when we had that blackout several years back, he was using his phone like nothing was wrong! lol
I LOVE T-mobile well i had t-mobile for 3 years starting from 2004 to 2006 then i had cingular it was not good then i got metroPCS wich was bad and now i got T-mobile again this year 2009 im glad my dad got me t-mobile again but my dad loves metro because they got unlimited minites but i love t-mobile perfect bars and internet texting i love t-mobile....
I am so glad you are back with T-Mobile and that you are happy. Metro is as bad as Sprint in my area so that just will not do! lol I do, however, like the concept Metro PCS has - unlimited everything for one price - but, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! ;)
I also see why you like them, you are in Brooklyn NY, that is one of their largest markets so their coverage is good there. Keep what works best for you
I have the Nokia N95 and E71 and have not noticed inferior battery life. Do you have a G1 or something? My son just got one and complains about the batter life compared to his sidekick.

Hey I just wanted to tell u about my cell phone service I have with Sprint. I have been with them since 2000. Things were a little rocky with them early on but they have grown over the year mainly with their customer service. I have great service where I live (in Florida). I have a $69.00 all data plan with 450 anytime minutes,mobile to mobile,unlimited texting,picture mail and video mail. It is a perfect plan for me. I don't plan on leaving Sprint because that is the only company I know.
I had Sprint back in 1998 and it was pretty bad. But I remember when I traveled to Las Vegas, Sprint was STELLAR. I guess it had a lot to do with where you lived! lol
That's a great plan you have there! I wouldn't leave it either! ;) Sprint has nice phones also - better than T-Mobile in my opinion. I am glad you are happy with Sprint!

I love this video. I'm so happy someone finally posted a video talking about how great a service is.. and not how bad it can be. Now I'm a Customer Care Rep with T-Mobile and I love hearing how great we are doing. This is the only company I have worked for that treats their customers right and will do anything for them. Yeah. We have a way to submit things we CSR's think will improve service and things along that line internally and I already did submit that request about a possible family data plan lol. The Memoir is a sweet phone, I've been waiting for it to come out for a few months now!!
T-Mobile has been the best! ive been with them for more than six years and I have no problems with their service. sometimes I have a problem with my bills but hey its my responsibility to understand and pay them and there is always good customer service on t-mobile...you may encounter reps who are unable to help but hey they are the same as us, people who do their job and following policies...I always respect that so that is why I will stay...=)
You said it much better than I did. I respect how they treat me also and on occasion, you MAY get a rep who is unknowledgeable, but never nasty! All I have to do is hang up and call right back and get my issue resolved! lol I won't be leaving T-mobile either - unless they start using Rush Limbaugh in their commercials that is! lol
I switched to T-Mobile about a year ago from AT&T... I LOVE IT!!!! Customer Service is AMAZING! I'm a flight attendant and T-Mobile works GREAT everywhere. When I fly overseas it works fantastic and cheaper rates than AT&T... Also T-Mobile just bought SunCom Wireless in Puerto Rico and all my family is now part of T-Mobile... They love it as well....
Thank you for the comment and the information. I have family in Puerto Rico so I have to check out the rates now! I have been told that if I ever travel to Europe, all I need to do is get a local pre-paid T-Mobile SIM (a new phone number) and put it in my phone and I am good to go; I don't have to worry about roaming!
PLUS... I heard T-Mobile is supposed to be unveiling some sweet phones by the end of next month! I love my phones, but hope their new line up will bring more customers!
It was okay, but I HATED the lag! I would have to wait about a second after pressing the screen before anything would happen! I got sick of it and sold the Sciphone and got the Nokia E71. The E71... I LOVE! lol
t mobile sucks big time. i have at&t and when i have trouble with my bill cs really do help but ok ill take back what i said they dont suck but in my area they are terrible. drop calls and bad service .

One more comment, as with ANY wireless carrier, YouTube or Google search specific phones you are interested in. You will find, with any carrier, some phones get GOOD reception while others get TERRIBLE reception. Final note: no matter what cell provider you have, when you call customer service tream them with RESPECT and it will be shown back to you. I agree that Sprint CS is not the best, but then again they are losing money due to the Nextel merger so they couldn't hire a lot of good ppl. :)

Alright, I'll be the odd duckling: I am pro-Sprint. May '09 will be my 24th month with them, so far I have had a positive experience. I live in Southern California and the reception is by far better then Verizon. In fact, Sprint "roams" on Verizon, so it's pretty solid. I had probs in the beginning but a few calls fixed that. Tips: ask LOTS of questions w/ Sprint and EMAIL don't CALL for questions on your account or change plans. $49.99 unlimited text to anyone, 450 ne time min, nights @ 7pm

Yes, the SciPhone worked pretty good. There was a little bit of a lag which I was not used to, but I have heard the lag exists even on the iphone. I like pressing a button and getting an immediate response! lol The camera was bad, both video and still. The alpha-numeric keys were smaller than on the iphone, so the stylus is almost essential if you have big fingers.. I have not had an authenic Iphone on T-Mobile, mine was from China (where the Iphone is originally made).
By the way, It's taken me a while, but I'm going to follow through with what I told them. This weekend, I'm going to join T-Mobile and can't wait.
I'm going to get a G-1. I'll have to be a flex pay, but that's cool. I'll still get a corporate discount on the phone.
A friend of mine loves T-Mobile and your confirmed what she said. Thanks for being really positive and sharing your opinion at a time when people are quick to put down, but hold back when there's something good to say.
Thank you for your kind words. Yep, that was how Verizon did my brother, but for some reason, he stayed! You have to EARN my money, and T-Mobile works hard for me and I LOVE THAT! So I will always be a T-Mobile customer unless they start doing something crazy, like hiring only foreign customer service reps! I'm not prejudice or anything, I just know TOO many Americans who are out of work!

Anyway, my current provider: Verizon. I hate 'em! When I needed to replace my aged RAZR, did they work with me to get a cheap replacement? No. Did they change their tune when I said I would leave? No. When I said that either they help me get a cheap phone or I would leave, I got an angry email back saying "We're sorry to see you go." Nice.
Then someone wanted to buy me the phone I wanted for Christmas. The rep at the store said I needed a $130/month plan. No thanks
I have a 2000-minute family plan, 5 lines - 1 line with sidekick plan and 1 line with T-Mobile internet - and my bill is $130.00! However, the Customer Service... PRICELESS! LMAO!! ;)

I agree with that comment 100%! The G1 is nice, but the style is just ... non-existent! I have not heard much about the Behold! That is why I like the unlocked phones! Any GSM phone will work on T-Mobile, so I get unique phones and no contract. Then, when I do decide to upgrade a phone, I just sell it on ebay since I get it for little or nothing! lol

Never tried using non-tmobile phones and I might give that a go, 'cause my samsung 319 isn't thrilling me. Loved that story about your SIMM being backwards, LOL! Totally been there. I'm looking for a full qwerty keyboard as well--the regular keypad frustrates me and makes me seem so darn old, and at 42 I'm not ready to feel that way! Anyway, great review, thanks!

I like Samsung (I think I had the T619 or something), but I have to admit, getting my phones unlocked gives me the ability to use ALL PHONE FEATURES (not just ones locked to a specific provider!). I just got the NOkia E71 in white. Check it out if you need a qwerty. It puts the blackberry to shame! lol Check Buy or amazon! T-mobile supports ALL unlocked GSM phones!
Now that is foul! Did you go to a store or was this on the phone? I find I get better (more accommodating) service with the reps on the phone rather than visiting a store. I raise hell on the phone if I have to with favorable results!
As for that sidekick plan, that is a flat out lie! My son just got the newest sidekick and has the $20 sidekick plan (and I have the tmobile web for my phone!). I would call a rep and see how that goes. If that rep does not give you what you want, call again!
I must admit, my son got his phone about 2 or 3 months ago, but they had the same plan back then. Not sure if they might have changed it, but like I said, call and find out. They may credit your account if in fact, the plan has changed to 400 texts from unlimited. Call until you get the results you want - TRUST ME!
the unlimited sidekick plan and the plan for a blackberry are different, the sidekick plans come with unlimited messaging but ALL other data plans DO NOT. The blackberry plans should be 19.99 and then a text pkg on top, when I last worked for tmobile it was 14.99 for unl msging of 19.99 if you're on a family plan.
I am very happy with t-mobile I use their prepaid, I just disactivated my boost account. Tmobile was the first ever prepaid phone service i've used and love them. gr8 service they have PERIOD

speaking of qwerty keypads. By myself I found out the origin of the name. If you look at a qwerty keypad or a keyboard the first 6 letters on the first row of letters they spell qwerty.
I have been typing since I was 16 years old, so I knew where they came up with the "qwerty" term - but it is funny a lot of people do not realize it is not an acronym, just letters on the keyboard! lol
thats cool, but for me im considering leaving t-mobile for another wireless company. the reason, phone selection sucks.but i still dont know. look at verizon the new blackberry storm, sprint the pro touch att i-phone, t-mobile the cheap g1. but like i said we will see.
I certainly agree with you on that. I get my own unlocked phones off ebay or amazon. But that BEHOLD is looking SWEET!!! If I did not just buy the Nokia E71, I would be trying out that Behold. I have yet to have a touchscreen phone - my hubby has an MDA and he loves it! My son loves his Sidekick also. AND I GET 3G NOW!!!! YAY!!!

T-Mobile has been the best provider for me by far! Their Reps are really the best with great attitudes all of the time! Gotta love THAT!!
hahahaha i agree 100% they are very lovely reps. no attitude what so ever regardless of what you problem is and not to mention they are growing fast. ive been with them for about 4 years and its been a pretty good experience, no regrets except for the one i said in the first comment.
LOL! Again, agreed, but if they keep their mediocre phones and maintain outstanding service, I won't have any regrets either! I must admit that I have never had a T-mobile phone that had a "glitch," unlike the other providers who just purchase and release phones that are problematic. T-Mobile really needs purchasers like us. We would get them in tip-top shape device-wise in NO TIME! lol
i just got the blackberry curve 8320 and i like it allot. i uploaded a bunch of cool things. i was debating that or the g1, the reason i went with the curve is because i had the pearl and i really like it and ive heard good things of the curve. second reason is the g1 is touch screen well most of it and most of the time my hands are dirty so you see why also the phone looks a little cheap. so the curves wins for me.
I had the 8320 in Plae Gold for about 3 months. I LOVED the device. I sold it on e-bay for a pretty penny because I REALLY wanted the Nokia E71, I got the E71 and I AM LOVING IT! Blackberry is okay, but I am a fan of Nokia products and the E71 in white is just SEXY!! lol The G1 reminds me of the wing and that formfactor does not do it for me! LOL
For those of you interested or curious about the G1 and the "problems" it may have being the "prototype", worry not. Since the software is backed by Google, we'll have wireless updates unlike the BlackBerry where there is a hardwire connection required. I have been with T-mobile since the 90's when it merge with voicestream. I have no problem with the service and the customer service. I'm just like you I will never leave T-mobile,for another service provider.

Yea, I was thinking about that. And just kinda curious, how much does the N95 cost on Ebay or buy . com? I started searching for the N95...and did some research and thought it was pretty sweet.
I got my N95 from buy com and I just ordered my E71 from them as well! I like their customer service & they have the most competitive prices (with a guarantee!); sometimes better than ebay! I got my N95 (when it first came out) for about $675 and I just ordered the E71 from them (Buy . com on backorder) for $395; NO TAX & NO SHIPPING! You might be able to find the N95 for about $400 or $500 (not the 8GB though, those are still pretty steep). Check Amazon or google for discount prices! Good luck!
I have T-Moible as well, I haven't had to much trouble with T-Mobile, just the phones more than the service. Like I got the blackberry when it just came out, and I thought it was awesome. But, a few months after I got it, I realized that I need to stop buying phones as soon as they come out because they get better as time goes on. And awesome phone, wish I woulda got that instead. But I'm thinking about getting the G1, not to sure tho.
I LOVE my phone. I did get the 8320, but my N95 has me spoiled (except no qwerty). I have GPS, wi-fi, symbian OS, 3G capable; I can go on and on. The Curve is okay, but even on wi-fi, it is not half as fast as my N95. I will be selling the 8320 on ebay when my Nokia E71 arrives (I ordered it about a week ago). Before you look at the G1, check the E71; it is like an N95 but with a qwerty (without the 5MP camera, but the E71 ROCKS). The G1 reminds me of the Wing; but if you need a touchscreen...

Irie mon! I am Jamacian also (my father's side). YES, after that N95 update, my GPS was just not the same. So I found a program at amazegps . com or even google maps! I like amaze because it will actually give you voice guidance FOR FREE!!! The entire program is FREE! Just go to the website and download or download directly from your N95. If all else fails, Google maps is the way to go... FOR FREE!

Hmmm, do not have ANY of those issues with my N95 (but I do have the older plum version with the sliding lens cover). I only have a 2GB card in it and it is performing very well (considering all the apps, music and movies I have on it) - no frezing or disconnects EVER. Waiting for my E71 now!
As for T-mobile, if they are average, I need to move to England! lol All the other providers here are either awful or too expensive.
LOL! I'll say something! I can tell you that we are always on the works with new stuff....
Oh, and someone had commented that their T-Mobile phone says another provider sometimes. In areas where we don't have alot of towers, we have contracts with other companies to use their towers. Alot of providers do that. No worries though, you wont ever get roaming charges on their towers, just makes it so you can have un-interrupted service!
They also left that comment on Andrew's response vid, and he said the same thing you did. I didn't know you sometimes share towers with other providers... but at least no roaming and again, T-Mobile reps ROCK! lol
T-Mobile & I have been having some issues w/dropped calls and poor service. You are so right they have the best customer service! I can always get bonus minutes when I call & just ask. The rep did say that they are working on providing better coverage so I'll hang in there. I've been a customer of theirs since 2003. Overall I still love them too.
I'm surprised - I thought they had good coverage in FL! But yes, no matter what I call about or WHEN I call, the staff there is ALWAYS helpful and willing to assist. I never have that, "rushing to get off the phone" feeling!
I have been w/ T-Mobile for over 5 years and you claim I don't even have "full t-mobile service?!" You are wrong, dear. I am currently using an 8320 (my current secondary device when not using my N95!) and the service (customer and wireless) has been stellar.
If you don't rate customer service WITH actual wireless service, how can you compare providers?

Honestly, I really am very content with T-Mobile; their wireless service, but more importantly, their CUSTOMER SERVICE. Over this summer, I did have 2 dropped calls and that is very uncharacteristic (plus I was camping! LOL). I have been trying to think of an unfavorable event expereinced with T-Mobile and I am happy to report I do not have ANY! Now if you want to talk about ATT or Sprint, I have an earful for ya! ;)

Maybe TMobile WAS good but in the last 6 months they have become a total fail in customer service. Phone service is good but the people working there have all become foreign phone banks and you can't understand them. T-Mobile was the ONLY carier that LOST customers last year.

i used to be a t-mobile patron, but my family recently switched to Verizon 'cuz we got this coupon. Not happy with Verizon. You're bound to only use their CDMA phones. A friend gave me a Sprint phone because they also use CDMA. Verizon didn't allow me to use it because their CDMA cards arent the same.
I don't like being bound to their phones, and for my plan I was only able to choose 6 phones. I took the only one with the QWERTY keyboard. Once I move out, I am so swtiching to T-Mobile!!

Loves me some T-Mobile. 3G coverage is good and improving steadily and the prices are AMAZING. The best part is I'm away from Sprint PCS, and their horrible service plus ugly billing errors. it seemed like I was calling in every other day to get them to remove bogus charges.

I live out in boston and have t mobile and can't stand it..It is very fustrating when everyone around me with another carrier is using their phone and I cant because i can not get a signal..I do not even bother using my phone on the bus because if your moving a 2 minute call will take you 10 minutes because my call keeps getting dropped..once my contract runs out i will switch to verizon..

I currently have tmobile. The coverage in the Seattle/Tacoma area is excellent. I have had no problems with tmobile so far. But of course I have been with them only since december, but they have been good for me

T-Mobile has 850 Mhz but only because they roam on AT&T. You cannot go onto the 850 Mhz frequency if T-Mobile "says" they have coverage otherwise. I think costumers would be MUCH more happy if they could roam freely onto ANY carrier on the GSM spectrum.

Purchase a quad band frequency phone from tmobile and you'll have that freedom. Remember though that companies have roaming agreements but they're not necessarily everywhere you want it to be.

I live in Texas and the T-Mobile wireless coverage is horrible. In my house, I get either 1 or 2 bars and then when it tries to roam onto AT&T, I only get emergency service. I am trying the Hotspot at Home service and it works fine at home. When we go traveling to state parks I usually get 1 or 2 bars while my friend on AT&T gets 3 or 4 bars. I try to call my coworkers back home but always have to say what!? because the service is so bad. I really wish T-Mobile could roll out 850 Mhz.

I really wish I could like T-Mobile like you but I just can't. Everything about T-Mobile including their pricing, family plans, and costumer service is great but the coverage could be better. I am HAPPY when my phone allows me to roam onto AT&T in rural areas because the coverage is so much better. I do notice that the call quality is not as good on AT&T.

It's funny that some areas get GREAT coverage on different networks. Sprint is HORRIBLE where I am, but in Vegas, I used to have 5 abars - I DON"T LIVE IN VEGAS! lol. Maybe it is your phone. I used to have a Samsung and a Blackberry curve that usually only had 3 bars. I have a NOkia N95 AND an E71 and I ALWAYS have 4 bars or MORE! What phone do you have? in my experience, unlocked phones get better call quality - I don't know why, though. No more branded phones for me!

I have a Blackberry Curve 8320 branded to T-Mobile. Other phones on T-Mobile like the Sidekick tend to have 1 or 2 less bars than a Blackberry. I know why AT&T is better. AT&T and Verizon tend to use the 850 Mhz frequency which goes through buildings better and can travel about twice as far as the 1900 Mhz frequency. T-Mobile and Sprint ONLY use the 1900 Mhz frequency (with the exeption of Nextel). Boo! T-Mobile wants to get the 850 Mhz frequency but the FCC won't let them.

Hey I just wanted to tell u about my cell phone service I have with Sprint. I have been with them since 2000. Things were a little rocky with them early on but they have grown over the year mainly with their customer service. I have great service where I live (in Florida). I have a $69.00 all data plan with 450 anytime minutes,mobile to mobile,unlimited texting,picture mail and video mail. It is a perfect plan for me. I don't plan on leaving Sprint because that is the only company I know.

I switched to T-Mobile about a year ago from AT&T... I LOVE IT!!!! Customer Service is AMAZING! I'm a flight attendant and T-Mobile works GREAT everywhere. When I fly overseas it works fantastic and cheaper rates than AT&T... Also T-Mobile just bought SunCom Wireless in Puerto Rico and all my family is now part of T-Mobile... They love it as well....

I have been told that if I ever travel to Europe, all I need to do is get a local pre-paid T-Mobile SIM (a new phone number) and put it in my phone and I am good to go; I don't have to worry about roaming!
PLUS... I heard T-Mobile is supposed to be unveiling some sweet phones by the end of next month! I love my phones, but hope their new line up will bring more customers!

One more comment, as with ANY wireless carrier, YouTube or Google search specific phones you are interested in. You will find, with any carrier, some phones get GOOD reception while others get TERRIBLE reception. Final note: no matter what cell provider you have, when you call customer service tream them with RESPECT and it will be shown back to you. I agree that Sprint CS is not the best, but then again they are losing money due to the Nextel merger so they couldn't hire a lot of good ppl. :)

Alright, I'll be the odd duckling: I am pro-Sprint. May '09 will be my 24th month with them, so far I have had a positive experience. I live in Southern California and the reception is by far better then Verizon. In fact, Sprint "roams" on Verizon, so it's pretty solid. I had probs in the beginning but a few calls fixed that. Tips: ask LOTS of questions w/ Sprint and EMAIL don't CALL for questions on your account or change plans. $49.99 unlimited text to anyone, 450 ne time min, nights @ 7pm

Yes, the SciPhone worked pretty good. There was a little bit of a lag which I was not used to, but I have heard the lag exists even on the iphone. I like pressing a button and getting an immediate response! lol The camera was bad, both video and still. The alpha-numeric keys were smaller than on the iphone, so the stylus is almost essential if you have big fingers.. I have not had an authenic Iphone on T-Mobile, mine was from China (where the Iphone is originally made).

Thank you for your kind words. Yep, that was how Verizon did my brother, but for some reason, he stayed! You have to EARN my money, and T-Mobile works hard for me and I LOVE THAT! So I will always be a T-Mobile customer unless they start doing something crazy, like hiring only foreign customer service reps! I'm not prejudice or anything, I just know TOO many Americans who are out of work!

Anyway, my current provider: Verizon. I hate 'em! When I needed to replace my aged RAZR, did they work with me to get a cheap replacement? No. Did they change their tune when I said I would leave? No. When I said that either they help me get a cheap phone or I would leave, I got an angry email back saying "We're sorry to see you go." Nice.
Then someone wanted to buy me the phone I wanted for Christmas. The rep at the store said I needed a $130/month plan. No thanks

I have a 2000-minute family plan, 5 lines - 1 line with sidekick plan and 1 line with T-Mobile internet - and my bill is $130.00! However, the Customer Service... PRICELESS! LMAO!! ;)

I agree with that comment 100%! The G1 is nice, but the style is just ... non-existent! I have not heard much about the Behold! That is why I like the unlocked phones! Any GSM phone will work on T-Mobile, so I get unique phones and no contract. Then, when I do decide to upgrade a phone, I just sell it on ebay since I get it for little or nothing! lol
I really wish they had more stylish phones!

Hey, I have tmobile too, and I love their service as well. Just got a new phone for my sister, in fact. Never tried using non-tmobile phones and I might give that a go, 'cause my samsung 319 isn't thrilling me. Loved that story about your SIMM being backwards, LOL! Totally been there. I'm looking for a full qwerty keyboard as well--the regular keypad frustrates me and makes me seem so darn old, and at 42 I'm not ready to feel that way! Anyway, great review, thanks!

I like Samsung (I think I had the T619 or something), but I have to admit, getting my phones unlocked gives me the ability to use ALL PHONE FEATURES (not just ones locked to a specific provider!). I just got the NOkia E71 in white. Check it out if you need a qwerty. It puts the blackberry to shame! lol Check Buy or amazon! T-mobile supports ALL unlocked GSM phones!

i went to go buy a new phone today cause my plan ended
i had a sidekick and had a plan that was $20 and unlimited text messages but i wanted a blackberry curve instead
BUT THE GUY INSISTED I STICK WITH SIDEKICKS BECAUSE THE PLAN DOESNT EXISIT ANYMORE
the new plan is $25 with 400 text message
BUTT I HAVE TO PAY $250 for the phone
but its $150
thats twice as more
and sidekick chargers/batteries has something wrong with them cause they break after a month or two

Now that is foul! Did you go to a store or was this on the phone? I find I get better (more accommodating) service with the reps on the phone rather than visiting a store. I raise hell on the phone if I have to with favorable results!
As for that sidekick plan, that is a flat out lie! My son just got the newest sidekick and has the $20 sidekick plan (and I have the tmobile web for my phone!). I would call a rep and see how that goes. If that rep does not give you what you want, call again!

I must admit, my son got his phone about 2 or 3 months ago, but they had the same plan back then. Not sure if they might have changed it, but like I said, call and find out. They may credit your account if in fact, the plan has changed to 400 texts from unlimited. Call until you get the results you want - TRUST ME!

the unlimited sidekick plan and the plan for a blackberry are different, the sidekick plans come with unlimited messaging but ALL other data plans DO NOT. The blackberry plans should be 19.99 and then a text pkg on top, when I last worked for tmobile it was 14.99 for unl msging of 19.99 if you're on a family plan.

I am very happy with t-mobile I use their prepaid, I just disactivated my boost account. Tmobile was the first ever prepaid phone service i've used and love them. gr8 service they have PERIOD

speaking of qwerty keypads. By myself I found out the origin of the name. If you look at a qwerty keypad or a keyboard the first 6 letters on the first row of letters they spell qwerty.

I certainly agree with you on that. I get my own unlocked phones off ebay or amazon. But that BEHOLD is looking SWEET!!! If I did not just buy the Nokia E71, I would be trying out that Behold. I have yet to have a touchscreen phone - my hubby has an MDA and he loves it! My son loves his Sidekick also. AND I GET 3G NOW!!!! YAY!!!

I must admit that I have never had a T-mobile phone that had a "glitch," unlike the other providers who just purchase and release phones that are problematic. i just got the blackberry curve 8320 and i like it allot. i uploaded a bunch of cool things. i was debating that or the g1, the reason i went with the curve is because i had the pearl and i really like it and ive heard good things of the curve. second reason is the g1 is touch screen well most of it and most of the time my hands are dirty so you see why also the phone looks a little cheap. so the curves wins for me.

I had the 8320 in Plae Gold for about 3 months. I LOVED the device. I sold it on e-bay for a pretty penny because I REALLY wanted the Nokia E71, I got the E71 and I AM LOVING IT! Blackberry is okay, but I am a fan of Nokia products and the E71 in white is just SEXY!! lol The G1 reminds me of the wing and that formfactor does not do it for me! LOL

For those of you interested or curious about the G1 and the "problems" it may have being the "prototype", worry not. Since the software is backed by Google, we'll have wireless updates unlike the BlackBerry where there is a hardwire connection required. Though, again, BlackBerry 4.5 firmware will include your future wireless updates. Thanks for choosing T-Mobile and have a great day ;)

I have been with T-mobile since the 90's when it merge with voicestream. I have no problem with the service and the customer service. I'm just like you I will never leave T-mobile,for another service provider.

I got my N95 from buy com and I just ordered my E71 from them as well! I like their customer service & they have the most competitive prices (with a guarantee!); sometimes better than ebay! I got my N95 (when it first came out) for about $675 and I just ordered the E71 from them (Buy . com on backorder) for $395; NO TAX & NO SHIPPING! You might be able to find the N95 for about $400 or $500 (not the 8GB though, those are still pretty steep). Check Amazon or google for discount prices! Good luck!

I have T-Moible as well, I haven't had to much trouble with T-Mobile, just the phones more than the service. Like I got the blackberry when it just came out, and I thought it was awesome. But, a few months after I got it, I realized that I need to stop buying phones as soon as they come out because they get better as time goes on. And awesome phone, wish I woulda got that instead. But I'm thinking about getting the G1, not to sure tho.

I LOVE my phone. I did get the 8320, but my N95 has me spoiled (except no qwerty). I have GPS, wi-fi, symbian OS, 3G capable; I can go on and on. The Curve is okay, but even on wi-fi, it is not half as fast as my N95. I will be selling the 8320 on ebay when my Nokia E71 arrives (I ordered it about a week ago). Before you look at the G1, check the E71; it is like an N95 but with a qwerty (without the 5MP camera, but the E71 ROCKS). The G1 reminds me of the Wing; but if you need a touchscreen...

Irie mon! I am Jamacian also (my father's side). YES, after that N95 update, my GPS was just not the same. So I found a program at amazegps . com or even google maps! I like amaze because it will actually give you voice guidance FOR FREE!!! The entire program is FREE! Just go to the website and download or download directly from your N95. If all else fails, Google maps is the way to go... FOR FREE!

Hmmm, do not have ANY of those issues with my N95 (but I do have the older plum version with the sliding lens cover). I only have a 2GB card in it and it is performing very well (considering all the apps, music and movies I have on it) - no frezing or disconnects EVER. Waiting for my E71 now!
As for T-mobile, if they are average, I need to move to England! lol All the other providers here are either awful or too expensive.

LOL! I'll say something! I can tell you that we are always on the works with new stuff....
Oh, and someone had commented that their T-Mobile phone says another provider sometimes. In areas where we don't have alot of towers, we have contracts with other companies to use their towers. Alot of providers do that. No worries though, you wont ever get roaming charges on their towers, just makes it so you can have un-interrupted service!

T-Mobile & I have been having some issues w/dropped calls and poor service. You are so right they have the best customer service! I can always get bonus minutes when I call & just ask. The rep did say that they are working on providing better coverage so I'll hang in there. I've been a customer of theirs since 2003. Overall I still love them too.

I have been w/ T-Mobile for over 5 years and you claim I don't even have "full t-mobile service?!" You are wrong, dear. I am currently using an 8320 (my current secondary device when not using my N95!) and the service (customer and wireless) has been stellar.
If you don't rate customer service WITH actual wireless service, how can you compare providers?
Are you a disgruntled Sprint customer? LMAO! Maybe you should try T-Mobile and do a video after a month; and see if you're converted. ;)

Honestly, I really am very content with T-Mobile; their wireless service, but more importantly, their CUSTOMER SERVICE. Over this summer, I did have 2 dropped calls and that is very uncharacteristic (plus I was camping! LOL). I have been trying to think of an unfavorable event expereinced with T-Mobile and I am happy to report I do not have ANY! Now if you want to talk about ATT or Sprint, I have an earful for ya! ;)
