But you don't place the ball directly there (unless you choose fastball and then click on the line before throwing), you place it to where it SHOULD HOPEFULLY go there

I agree with krisdop, and find a sweet zone when batting. When batting my sweet zone is middle and up in the strike zone. If it's low, I don't go after it. Trust me, thats how I killed the Orioles 15-3 and the Yankees 19-4. When pitching, try mixing it up alittle. You don't have to put the ball where the catcher wants it. It works i had a no-hitter going into the 7th untill i left a pitch up in the zone. still finished whth a shut out. Try that and let me know if that helped.

I am ownage on offense but way inconsistent with pitching in this game... it just takes practice; just predict with every pitch that you are going to take it for a ball. Also for Juan Rivera's check swing, you can edit "Umpire Personalities" so the umpires always get it right.

Anyways you have to be more patient. Throwing more first pitch balls will throw the hitter off. Take the first pitch when at the plate. Plus, take off Guess Pitch. It only messes with your head anyways. maybe try a bunt here and there.

Another thing,I noticed that when you pitch you use full power(all the way in the red)in the pitch meter for every pitch. I only recommend using full power on 0-2 counts for a real nice strikeout pitch Try pitching with the power in the yellow area. pitching in the yellow makes the pitch more accurate and more pinpoint to the place you chose to locate the ball, also it conserves your pitcher's energy so he can pitch more innings. On D, throw to the cutoff man, also dont dive. I hope this helped

Your main problem with your batting is you swing at every pitch! You are not going to get any good counts with that type of approach. get the pitcher to throw you some pitches, the more pitches you see in an atbat the more likely you are to see a mistake pitch. I implore you, take pitches! And about your pitching, it isn't bad, but it isn't good either. You throw every pitch in the strike zone, that isnt always good. If you have a batter down in an 0-2 count, throw a pitch out of the zone

My first tip would be to settle down and not get so upset at yourself and the game. When I first started to play this game batting was not my strong point either, I would strike out 15+ times a game. and it was FRUSTRATING. It is good that you are playing spring training to improve your game. My tips for you 1. Take the first pitch of an atbat 99% of the time, get a feel for the pitchers stuff. 2. If you have a hitters count (3-1. 2-0, 3-0) wait for the pitch you like.

guess pitch on fastball and wait for a fastball high, get a couple HR per game, and if you can pitch well you will win.

go to rookie, on veteran you have to pick the location as well, makes it much tougher.

Unless you get the exact pitch you are looking for, don't swing at the first pitch. Try to take more pitches to and work the count, you'll get better pitches if you are ahead on the count.  Funny video though, I feel like this sometimes, but remember its a LONG season.

hey some tips for pitching. Don't leave the ball up the middle so much, purposely throw balls to get the batter anxious. and for hitting, go to game settings and turn on the PSI indicator. Tilt the right stick up before you hit it when the PSI is on and it will give you a better chance to hit a home-run when the pitch lands in the yellow circle.

This game is not impossible, but I do admit you have to do a shit load of exhibitons to get good. tricks to batting is using the plate coverage indicator, that helps a lot. Also use pitch history to see where the pitcher's tendacies to throw you are and you'll hit aloy mor hits and homers. what pisses me off is the cpu will ALWAYS score runs in the late innings, even if you make bull pen subs. do batting practice and don't swing in every pitch
