He was a Zoo baby that the mother died at birth, I had been looking for decent breeder or owner having a baby for sale, (older ones are often problem animals and dont transfer easily), That having been said I do not know of a reputable breeder of squirrel monkeys (most people get capuchins), Make sure you know what you are getting into they are a 25 year constant care infant that can jump 20 feet and bite if you dont get a trainer. We love him and see him often as a constant childcare
Heya guys, could I ask where you managed to get a pet squirrel monkey? I'm assuming you live in the US, but I could be mistaken :) Thanks in advance for the info
@Groemas My roomate replied to you above. Also, keep in mind that the cost of care is extremely expensive starting out, as you have vaccinations, fang removal (after a couple of years they grow in and you want to avoid accidents), and I would highly recommend that you neuter them once they reach maturity (your vet will know the right time). Also, most vets don't deal with primates, so that's something to consider.
