  • I saw it when it was published dans said to myself, this is the Bergman's Recherche du Temps Perdu. I still think it.

  • What's the piece that plays at 4:44?

  • In the version I saw, the death puppet wich appears after the moving woman statue doesn't appears, wich is a beautiful surprise for me.

The cuts feels horrible (not that horrible really) in the 3 hours version.

  • one of the best movie openings ever!

  • I saw the whole five hour movie in the christmasdays when it aired on swedish television. god I love this movie so much! even tough it took five hours (and there was no comercialbreaks!) it didn't feel like it lasted longer than any other film.

  • In Germany, they have cut many scenes. I love this movie. There are so many parallels to my life:-/

  • no commercial breaks?!!? I love this movie more than I can say, but I might have even snuck away from the tv for a pee within 5 hours...or maybe not. There's no one like Bergman, and this is his masterpiece!

  • In Sweden we have two tv-stations with no commercial breaks at all.

  • i love thise movie.
