Just wait until you've built pylons next to the two obelisks and then proceed with the steps of the guide. You don't need the two colossi to perform the distraction at the end. I was able to just run through and blink onto the last beacon (done today).

still works, on the overseer that you have to void right after the freeze, blink to the left of it right away and sit there till blink is ready again, then run up the ramp and blink over to the left.

@ElvinDragonLord well, you can get the obelisks and then continue the speed run ofcourse. You can also play it on casual for the research points and then on brutal for the speedrun. This way you get the research for the rest of the campaign and still complete it on brutal.

I think you pretty much HAVE to do the level this way, or something very much like it, to be done in less than 20 minutes. The whole routine of building up a base, fortifying, mustering troops, and slogging your butt around the map is just not going to get it. Thanks for the great vid!

I even took the slightly more scenic route of getting the research points for Protoss. Ridiculously easy.

Thanks for the guide - I got to the 2nd tendril and was banging my head on the wall trying to figure it out.

Also what you can do along with the building of pylons at the start is move your Collosus units up north in anticipation for the last part (saves on time later)
