What's the big deal? 300 lbs? I'm nowhere near a workout addict, I'm 5'8" and I have benched 300 since I was a little under 17 years old. I'm heavy now (205 lbs.) but I was like 155 when I first did it. Not that special, 350 is starting to be impressive, and anything 400 and above is really worth bragging. I can still believe this video, though. I know kids who were lifting close to 200 with very little training at age 14 who weighed in 130s-140s. Some people simply have naturally raw strength while others, perhaps like you and I, have to work hard for every bit.

But I will be joining Gold's Gym in 4 more months and I will have my license by that time and by end of 2012 or early 2013 I want to be at 5'10" and 230lbs and I want my max (bench press) to be at 300lbs, squat 350lbs and dead lift 450lbs.
It takes a long time and you have to go to the gym everyday but I want to go down that road and I will not give up because I always wanted to be in shape ever since I was a kid.

Ya'll really are just hating. I don't know SirJustin but I see it very possible for him to be able to do that. I weigh 145lbs and I'm about 5'7. I can only bench about 250lbs max now, but because I had to stop working out due to a wrist injury. I was probably able to do at least 275lbs max b4 my injury but I didn't get a chance to try b4 getting injured. @thriller79 At that weight and height my guess would be that you aren't eating right. You should be pushing 315 easy. Load carbs. eat 6-8 times a day, at least 200 grams of protein an day, and dont lift for a few days before going heavy on your bench. if you watch this video again, you will see he bounces it off his chest. in a comp, you need to show control of the load before you are given the ok to press. Eat up and lift heavy

get on a 5x5 routine.lift heavy and FAST (on the way up) and bench twice a week. first day and last say.alot of heavy tricep work as well like tricep extensions , powerlifting extnesions (what i call them) , and close grip benchpress , also try jm pressing. also do heavy rows for the back and military press and overhead press for the shoulders.Last but not least , EAT , SLEEP..there you go
@a7xBulletSoilwork pretty impressive for a 15 yo, by the time your my age you'll be in the 400's! thanks for the advice i've actully incressed 225 for 4 times, don't really know my max but switching up my routine helped, plus after i'm done w/ my sets i'll put on 135 and count to 5 as i'm going down and push up as hard as i can, by the time i get to 10 i'm burning like hell, i do that for 3 sets after initial sets w/ flies. thanks again man!
@thriller79 hmm, I'm 5'6 and I workout around 5 or 6 days a week, my workouts range from 1 hour and a half to 2 hours, maybe add in 2 extra exercises and make sure to push yourself on bench press. I'm also natural, I don't even take protein shakes lol. I think I'm pretty strong for weighing 142 ;0 Tell me what you do on your chest days, maybe I can help :D
@TehJeremySeff thanks for reply, right now i'm just maintaining, (busy buying a house) i did however increase to 225 4X have no idea what my max is though, probally lost a little since then, think if i trained like you do i would increase, plus back then i was on a dieters diet and not a training one, prob lacked protein needed to revcover, whats your daily diet like? only meat i eat is fish, i've increased, but slowly, i'll get back into it, winter is better training months for me! thanks
@thriller79 Thats funny because im also moving out too! Well if you only eat fish then maybe try some soy milk? That might help add some protein, or glut amine pills for recovery. When I work out I usually do 4 warm up sets. 45x5 135x5 135x10 Then, you can do another set of weight that you can do 5 times easy, do two sets of that for 5. ?x5 ?x5 then, a heavier set for 5-10 depending on how you feel. ?x5-10 then another heavy set for 5. then do something you can only get 3-5 times, try for 5

great lift. You are lifting my personal goal and I already weigh 180lbs at 5'11 with 7% bodyfat. My legs dwarf my upper body though. Leg size does have a huge amount to do with weight. From what I saw: 45+45+25+10+2.5 = 127.5 (weight on one side) x 2 (sides) = 255 + 45 (bar) = 300 lbs

dude whats your trick man, i've been bench pressing for like 3 years now and max out at like 230. i'm 170lbs,5'7",age 31 workout 4 times a week,for about 1 hr long i'm all natural as well, been getting frustrated though, feel like i'm wasting my time!

@thriller79 At that weight and height my guess would be that you aren't eating right. You should be pushing 315 easy. Load carbs. eat 6-8 times a day, at least 200 grams of protein an day, and dont lift for a few days before going heavy on your bench. if you watch this video again, you will see he bounces it off his chest. in a comp, you need to show control of the load before you are given the ok to press. Eat up and lift heavy

@thriller79 ya man thats all tendon strength you had, really important to have. im 17, and all i can do with bench is 155 for 3 sets of 7. i mean i think thats pretty decent cuz i weigh 155, but i wana get my bench higher. but i dont just do that tho, i have a whole work out of squats, pull ups, bench, push ups, dips, curls, running and biking.

get on a 5x5 routine.lift heavy and FAST (on the way up) and bench twice a week. first day and last say.alot of heavy tricep work as well like tricep extensions , powerlifting extnesions (what i call them) , and close grip benchpress , also try jm pressing. also do heavy rows for the back and military press and overhead press for the shoulders.Last but not least , EAT , SLEEP..there you go

1. Do around 5 sets (Start at your warm up and keep going up 10 pounds each set, and on last set do warm up weight to finish off.)
2. Strive for about 8-10 reps on each set
3. Do extra reps even when your arms have nothing left with help from a spotter
4. Just bench consistently, and i mean consistently, like every other day.
-I've been only benching for 8 months and i just hit 205lb. a few days ago, and im 15 years old, 152 lb. Hopefully, you'll see results.

@thriller79 hmm, I'm 5'6 and I workout around 5 or 6 days a week, my workouts range from 1 hour and a half to 2 hours, maybe add in 2 extra exercises and make sure to push yourself on bench press. I'm also natural, I don't even take protein shakes lol. I think I'm pretty strong for weighing 142 ;0 Tell me what you do on your chest days, maybe I can help :D

@TehJeremySeff thanks for reply, right now i'm just maintaining, (busy buying a house) i did however increase to 225 4X have no idea what my max is though, probally lost a little since then, think if i trained like you do i would increase, plus back then i was on a dieters diet and not a training one, prob lacked protein needed to revcover, whats your daily diet like? only meat i eat is fish, i've increased, but slowly, i'll get back into it, winter is better training months for me! thanks

@thriller79 Thats funny because im also moving out too! Well if you only eat fish then maybe try some soy milk? That might help add some protein, or glut amine pills for recovery. When I work out I usually do 4 warm up sets. 45x5 135x5 135x10 Then, you can do another set of weight that you can do 5 times easy, do two sets of that for 5. ?x5 ?x5 then, a heavier set for 5-10 depending on how you feel. ?x5-10 then another heavy set for 5. then do something you can only get 3-5 times, try for 5

great lift. You are lifting my personal goal and I already weigh 180lbs at 5'11 with 7% bodyfat. My legs dwarf my upper body though. Leg size does have a huge amount to do with weight. Have a workout buddy who only weighs 130lbs at 5'7 but with long pants hiding his chicken legs he seems the same weight. Good luck. I'm looking forward to seeing the 400lb at 144lbs:-)
