that would suck! to bad there poisonous. :( we have have a bull frog problem here. not poisonous and kind of tasty. they eat everything and cause tremendous problems for many native species to the area. i have to exterminate three invasive species at our four acre bass pond every year; bull frogs, muskrats, and nutria. the muskrats and nutria make tunnels under the waters surface that lead out to the field behind the pond that can drain it. the bullfrogs eat the bass hatch lings.

I grew up in South Florida and when I was a kid we would go out with five gallon buckets and catch dozens of cane toads in a single night. There was a big reptile and amphibian store that would buy them for thirty cents a piece.

My cousin also use to like playing "frog ball" which involved taking a wiffle bat and bashing the toads until their guts came out of their mouths. It grossed me out but at the same time those toads are a menace in Florida just like in Australia.

Whenever I'm outdoors on a hiking path or in the forest I can't resist peeking under rocks and logs. It's a habit I started as a child and just never stopped. I pretty much only find ants, worms, and slugs. But now and then something cool, like a salamander or snake!
