A bunch of college kids just passed by while I was watching this vid, they have NO IDEA what I'm watching and what a good movie is; you see, there's NO profanity, nudity or perversion. And there's actually a good script/idea behind this movie!
@wondermusic63 Don't you love that? In Doris's case I think the decision to dress her to the nines is courtesy of producer Ross Hunter, who grew tired of her "wholesome" look in her earlier films. He loved her figure and insisted she should show it off. He was right.
@wondermusic63 She certainly did! I also love her fashion turns in "That Touch of Mink" with Cary Grant. There was a ravishing fashion sequence in that movie as the latest gowns and dresses were being modeled for her as she prepared for her romantic getaway with Grant--it's funny watching her almost giddy reactions to the clothes as I felt exactly the same way! Many of those dresses were/are so classically contemporary they could have been made today.

and of course his assistant hedley is joe flynn, captain binghampton on mchale's navy.
this plot is very similar to a movie called the thrill of it all, i think, where james garner comes up with phony widgets to corner the stock market.
