i was there. a few rows up from the abercrombie & fitch guys. lol
anyways, i saw hillary speak in evansville too. I must say her speech was more personal than obama's. i like obama but i feel like he should have stayed longer and said more after the speech to the nation. He was VERY late after all. He should have made up for that and given a more personal speech to us. Just my opinion. he might have lost my vote.
You are 18 years old? Government plans (promises) often are like a man promising the "stars and the moon" to a woman... till he gets what he wants. But, sometimes there is a connection (almost spiritual) that you feel, and you kinda know. I think for the first time in a long time... The PEOPLE HAVE AWAKENED.
i do like clinton but obama is right i feel like we should not base our perferece on who been in washington longest but who has the best ideas and can unite dis country wake up people.
Clinton's plans may look good, but that doesn't change the fact that she originally supported a lot of these one sided free trade deals that are shipping all of our manufacturing overseas, including NAFTA. I also don't agree with her mandating health care under the threat of financial penalties. I think with Sen. Obama's record of community activism he has a better record to run on in this instance as Sen Clinton's plan will hurt struggling lower to middle income families.
"Four... or Eight... years..." LOVE THAT! He clearly added that into the speech on the fly, because those words weren't in the prepared remarks on his website. Nice touch!
I live in philly - Pennsylvainia dropped the ball. Don't get it twisted- PA is the most racially divided state in the U.S. Once you pass harrisburgh a black person will think he Took a time machine trip to 1960 georgia.
Even in Philly where 40 percent of the population is black we still have disparity of the academic criteria between schools in North philly and the schools in the northeast. Hillary is handing the republicans the white house in a neatly wrapped package.
WAW he sounds like a president that I would love to vote for. America would be luck to have Obama as the president. Non of the other candidates come even close to him. I am impressed.
When he got to, "The same way my father saw it from across the ocean", time seemed to stop.
And by the time he got to "we will keep the promise of America" I almost started to cry. The idea of potentially the first black President talking about keeping the promise of America was just powerful... Very powerful.
When he got to, "The same way my father saw it from across the ocean", time seemed to stop.
And by the time he got to "we will keep the promise of America" I almost started to cry. The idea of potentially the first black President talking about keeping the promise of America was just powerful... Very powerful.
Yes we can; Yes we can; Yes we will; Yes we will; Yes we did; Yes we did. A chance for a new dawning for America and we did the RIGHT thing for our country. We have fullfilled John F. Kennedy's call for what we can do for America. That is in this time and at this moment, WE as Americans have made the right choices; the hard choices and started down the road to rebuilding her infrastructures; rebuilding her strengths as a nation; rebuilding her trust in a world of nations. Turn the page. GO OBAMA
obama is right, it doesn't matter what party you're in, whether it be democratic, independent, republican, or whatever, what matters is us banning together for the right changes, and not have any distractions (nazis, communists, terrorists, homosexual marriage)
He is the only one who can deliver the change this country needs. He is the leader who comes around once in a generation, he is the leader that America needs.
I agree. The message that I get from her is elect me, and I'll see you in four years. I need transparency. Obama is inviting people back into the process. I want someone who will represent the voters of all 50 states, not just the big blue states or the big money supporters. This guy has knocked on tens of thousands of doors around this country. He's not afraid to meet people face to face, even when they disagree with him. He didn't just call establishment connections to ask for endorsements.
i said this a long time a go. I am glad someone else sees this. She belives in herself when the constitution says that the people govern the nation. Thats why there is no way that one person cannot force us to do anything. Unless they are backed by the people who live in this nation.
There is no defeat in Obama, every time he loses it seems he gians more ambition and a stronger will to fight and win. That is what America needs a will to overcome what we are in now.
America explain this to me... Why do we ask for change every four years but never do what is required to produce change? Why expect the system to be different when you continue to hire the same cronys to run the country?
Wake up America
Wake up Indiana
Wake up North Carolina
Wake up Oregon
Wake up Montana
Wake up Puerto Rico
Shut this travesty down with you vote.
McCain and the Republicans are our opponents
Its time for real change in this incredible country. Lets go to work!
I know i'm from PA and this is the first time i ever voted in my life...but this time i chose to vote for Obama...to change my country and unite US together...PA WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!! we still have another chance to vote in november don't blow it.
Wake up, Clinton kicks Obama's rear end in every major battelground/swing state. A 10% win in PA or OH is as good as a 40% win in IL, WI or MN, i.e. blue states that are always Democratic in the fall. Plus Obama's wins in red states are also useless as no Democrat, him included would win any in the Fall. Obama CHOKES in the big ones! Except MI, that's even worse than choking---he just COWARDed his way out of that one...(re-vote)
Yeah, you and Obama wishes she'd wuit. Quit kicking his ass in the most important (swing/battleground) states! His wins are all strategically unimportant. He is weak in the states needed to beat McCain in the Fall. That is just the reality of it.
She is NOT going to steal this election! Indiana / North Carolina its up to you to end this primary. Hillary has no respect for the Democratic party. Her and her husband thik they own the party. Its there for thier benefit. Well its not.
Most of us respect the work the Clintons have done for this country. However we also remember the harm they caused our country. the soap opera that is the Clinton is about to be cancel due to low ratings and a bad script.
This speech almost brought tears to my eyes... i am only 14 but i will be voting in the 2012 election and i am very excited about re-electing Obama! I believe Barack Obama will be an excellent president
I figured it today. Clinton would have to win 61% of everything, primaries and superdelegates, to break even at the end with Obama. Obama is going to be the democratic nominee, but we have to work to make sure it happens sooner rather than later, because every day that we don't have an official nominee is another easy day for McCain.
Barack, i wish you all the best and the right luck in you effort in bringing change to Washington DC, and to keep HRC & JMcB very far away off the White House, enough is enough!
What a great inspiring speach ! Barack Obama is back on his game again. He had me with his message of hope and change at the start and now he's continuing with that message. Yes he can-Yes we can. Obama --08
I was not really surprised that Hillary won Pennyslvania, but I am confident the nomination. We need change, not four more years of the same old politics that Hillary and John Mccain will continue if their in office. So please vote for Barack Indiana!!
And so, you must remember that change isn't easy.....
The media will go back to what makes ratings, which is "divisive & the ends-justify-the-means politics."
And no matter how hard you try to stay off of that cours, the media will sound-bite the hell out of you to get their result.... Which is , Division- Because division sells much better than unity.....
So, the media sound-bites two minutes of a two-hour speech to say that the campaign has gone negative which is actually very false
Obama, if you can see this.... Please take it to heart....
Although you have tried and continue to try to run a different-kind-of race.... This country has been so familiar with divisive and "ends-justifies-the-means" style of politics that anything you say that can be "sound-bitten" to uphold that old standard will be shown on t.v.
You speak for hours on end only to have a two minute soundbite beaten to death to portray "negative campaigning." Look, the media needs to sell it's stories..
I'm always amazed at how much hope and energy Obama can bring to the crowd... Whatever the result is, you have earned my respect. Let's hope for the best.
Decade after decade, candidates of greatness step up to the plat: Gore, Kerry, now Obama. Every ellection cycle, American people are offered a choice of greatness--change that speaks true to our conscience. Yet, every time greatness steps up to the plate, intending to be greater and truer than those preceding, the machine steps up its own game. Don't let the machine to capture your conscience this time. Obama 08.
Hilary is not for change, millions of college students and some americans who never before was encouraged to vote when you Barack Obama spoke of hope and spoke of a new course for American.Barack alot of us really want you to be Presisdent coz if change happened in the past you would not be speaking of change the people would not yearn for change if it occurred already and thats reality.
What a great speech. I've never been so inspired in my life. And I've never believed in somebody in my life. This guy makes me believe that something great can happen and true change can come to pass. He makes you feel like you are part of something special. That's a true quality of a great leader. He's been true and honest with us through it all unlike the Clintons who has lied all the way through this campaign. Let's vote Obama, let's make the change this country really needs
Hilary has divided the democratic party as because she did not want to see Barack as President so long as he is vice president, a group of us came to this conclusion if hilary wins the seat for president we will give John McCain our vote and that group is large

Someone needs to tell Obama that Bush isn't running again.
And unless you have a time machine the constant statements of how it was mistake to go into Iraq isn't going to do anything.
Besides, according to the polls almost every one is against the war, so aren't you beating a dead horse by continuing to bash Bush.

So, if you'd just take to heart what I'm about to say, I think you'd finish with a landslide.
1. Each and every day remember why you're running
2. Tell the American people that it (the current state of our Union) is our fault, because we have let it get out of hand.
3. Tell the American people that you can't do it by yourself. It takes State officials as well- like aldermans, state treasurers and governors.
