  • Great song, one of their best, RIP Jani

  • Very underrated. One hit wonder to the people that don't know music and live off radio stations. A band that left a mark to the ones that knows there's a brighter life, outside the stations

  • Great and underrated singer.

  • Rest In Peace, Jani. Sending love and light to Heaven. Xx

  • RIP Jani. Cheers mate.

  • Grunge destroyed people's perception of music, Rock/Metal is still the king of the hill, cuz nothin's happened musically since everyone's embraced the "alternative" movement, it's basically showed people how not to be people, tired of it yet?

  • May you go up in Heaven with all of your Cherry Pie and don't you worry bout your Blind Faith because you'll be the Rainmaker in your Uncle tom's Cabin....RIP.

It's too bad--they were a really fun band in their time--love this song!

    RIP

  • Rip jani

  • the dislike bar is as long as Justin Bieber's penis

  • glad to see them perform my song live again; i wrote this on poison's tour bus and gave it to bret michaels, who gave it to his friends of Warrant to record; still kicking ass!

  • @spyyder976 and yes, this is based on a true story-there really are bodies in the wishing well; when i wrote this we were in biloxi, and when warrant came around again on tour and did this song live, they said this is a song about something that happened right around here; i'm from alabama, just 1.5 hours from biloxi

  • @spyyder976 you told yourself....what about elaborating|?

  • I saw some people were asking about how to get a hold of this concert recording. I am pretty sure the original release is out of print, but I found this company which provides a bootleg recording on DVD out of a VHS copy they have. I ordered it and it was in good shape. If you are interested, the name is something like heavy metal web. You can find it on ebay, which is where I purchased my copy.

  • the guitar player is one of the best that i have seen in my whole life

  • Sheriff John Brady is the 1 person who didn't like this video.

  • He destroyed his guitar D: .... Awesome!

  • warrant's only real good song!

  • @MrJtr75 Hell no!

  • just heard this song on the radio for the first time.. wow where the fuck have i been??!! i doubted he would pull it off live... I was WRONG. KICK ASS... Kinda weird to say but i wish i was about 15 years older!

  • @TheFeeez21 ACtually his singing isn't that well. He hits the notes but he clearly can't breath and control the air good enough.

  • @Hayacafrita accually his singing was great compared to usual he has had much worse vocals live before

  • @Mandrew2011 Oh I see... well I'm not really a big fan of this band, so I haven't seen many live performances.

  • just love them and Janey's voice!

  • 1:10 I like when a bass player plays with their fingers instead of a pick.It seems like a real bass player, and not a guitar player who's playin bass for what ever reason. And pick bass players dont take that wrong.

  • Jani is talent

  • @KaDe381 A rock star foe show. My friend said he saw Jani playin drums in this band along time ago.He said Jani was badass. He is a very good drummer. His roade was this big huge heavy set chick that fanned him with a towel franticly the whole time he played. He said it was pretty cool. Just a little F.Y.I. Peace

  • Damn! I loved the video, however the live version rocks.

  • I don't know why I waited until 84 to be born, lol. I missed a lot of the cool shit like hair metal and muscle cars. Unfortunately, I can't afford my dream car but luckily, I had a father with a set of nutts that guided me in the way of music. Today's music is pure bullshit and damn rap has taken over. Yea, some of it's catchy but Jesus Christ play something different on the fucking radio besides lil wayne, Akon, and Bruno fucking mars.

  • @blurbieblue But now you can download anything you want!

  • @blurbieblue unfortunately we are in the age of ricer honda civics and techno/rap...but thank fuck for youtube to bring us the good shit

  • @blurbieblue Rokk on bro!

  • Only song I loved from warrant wish they did more like this sound and heart.

  • great song!!

  • at the end of the song he is like "go ahead thats your q" XD

  • the intro to this song is the best part, too bad they can't do it live

  • This Performance Kick ass !!

  • Did I ever tell you how much I hate it when vocalists go off like this?

  • Excellent Song......

  • bataanscene ---100% correct! It started in 1989. This 38 year old man fighting in Afghanistan today 11-28-2010 still has a bit of time to throw on some songs from Megadeath,Slayer,Korn, etc etc before I hit patrol. Warrant, Motley Crue, Poison etc also when I need to remember how easy life was when I herd these groups.

We take time and ask youtube for songs we used to hear and this was one :-)

  • Joey Allen kickin' ass on lead guitar.

  • You go on tour and see how you look after a couple of months!

  • @JimKzx14 been there brother. its hard.

  • he looks kinda tired -__-

  • Now whitout Jani, Warrant is a Joke.

  • Lots of high notes throughout the song. Pretty hard to sing. Didn't realize that until I tried to sing along. Jani was the man!

  • It's a shame, these guys were so much more then just 'the cherry pie guys' they had some fantastic stuff, this song in particular, and others like the down boys and i saw red. Truly, they were great.

  • Jani Lane is my stepfather

  • And that's how you do it! ... thank you... good night!! :D

  • @AttilaThe1 and that's how you conclude it in words, well done, thank you, god blessx!

  • wow, this guy really can sing and this is a good tune. I really believe him when he says he hates the fact he wrote Cherry Pie. This guy has a great voice and the lead guitars are hot

  • i think this is much better than the studio version

  • So powerful, AWESOME song! 80s hard rock RULZ!!!!!

  • YaH!!!<3

  • One of the most underrated singers of all the time!!!

It's a very hard song to sing live and he dit it perfectly!

  • @aormnc That's why he is in Japan

  • Jani Lane and Nikki Sixx are the BEST SONGWRITERS ever!

  • too drunk to keep up with the song....nice...

  • dude i just wanna be on that stage rocking out damn these guys are living the dreams of millions!

  • I don't understand why everybody likes Jani so much- personally my favourites are Erik and Jerry =P

  • did jani rush through this song?

  • ahaha jani looks so stoned

  • I wish they looked like this now... :( but they freaking rock!

  • MAN HE SINGS SO GOOD LIVE, They're all so good live.. Well back then, I HOPE YOU KICK THE ADDICTION JANI (Y) RESPEKK

  • he is so beautiful <3

  • Grunge was nothing more than a certain way of dressing that the bands had that had people finding a word to describe the way music had progressed..You ask any band that was labled a Grunge band and they will say they didn't name thierslves Grunge...Everytime music progresses or changes in the sound or presentaion..The fans are pretty much who name the new found style or dress..I love all music across the board and think all artits should be respected and given credit where credit is due..

  • It wasn't just a dressing style. I mean U can't compare Alice in chains and stuff like that to Warrant. They are all good regardless, but it was a diff style for sure. Even blind melon!! Miss those groups.

  • its sad to see these guys trying to keep the 80's going in the 90's when today we all know that grunge would move in :(

  • kinda stole the name from the beginnings of an old Aerosmith song. "uncle salty" off of toys in the attic was originally called "uncle tom's cabin".. cool song anyways tho!

  • that last part was impressive

  • lmao @ Jani's face when the harmonica dude started playin at teh end.

he looked back like wtf was that

and i agree, this should have been the song Warrant is known for, not cherry pie. although it was also a good song.

    sorta.

    -Nugsly

  • @kmitchell3008

Imo, this song is like 10x better than Cherry Pie, which is alreadya good song.

  • 1:10 Jani flips about his acoustic feeding back. Turn the volume down on your guitar dude! Then again, just destroy it!

  • Guitar ! Guitar ! solid vocals, etc. etc. etc. This is great stuff !

  • i want that american flag guitar

  • wish they were still around and writing

  • It's a shame grunge destroyed them. I would have loved to see where they could have taken themselves with stuff like this, Mr. Rainmaker, etc. Really good songs, when it's all said and done. No one was writing stuff like this back in the day.

  • I agree, music has been going down and down over these years. I really miss good music like this.

  • Jani is awesome ;)

  • That roadie's fired!!!

  • Thanks for this!!!!!!!!!!!, what a song!!!!!!!

  • Haha i think a roadie was supposed to come get Jani's guitar thats why he smashed it.

  • Simply spectacular hahahahhahaha

  • Jani sure had a voice...they were kikass

  • Comment removed

  • in vegas they blew haha

    look it up

  • jani looks like crap

  • they really sound horrible now. you see them live in 2008 or 2009. jani lane sounds really shitty.

they were way better in early 1990s

  • the album cherry pie came out in 1989 thats y they r an 80's band

  • Cherry Pie was 1990. Of course DRFSR was released in 1989. Know your years.

But the fella that said they were better in the 90`s was correct.

  • o yeah i got a little confused.

  • 80's bands have the meanest, baddest, vicious and kick ass lead guitarists!!!

  • @bataanscene

    AND vocalists.

  • @bataanscene and base guitarists to!!! \m/

  • @bataanscene Indeed, and singers

  • Comment removed

  • @bataanscene the 80s just had raw tallent the shit you see live sounded just like the CD. no pro tools technowlogy to fake it up haha!

  • @bataanscene word

  • From the back, the lead singer KINDA looks like Axl Rose in the 80s.

  • like saying any glam metal lead singer looks like axl haha ^__^

  • Not really :P

    Joey from Europe doesn't :D

  • Makes me awake and rock my world

  • See ya !!!!!!!!!!

  • He broke up that guitar cause the roadie ddnt take it.

  • 1. put ur middle finger on ur nose

    2. say the name of some1 u like

    3. 2moro they will ask u out or say i love u

    4. copy and paste to 2 videos

  • I don't know if you noticed but I think the whole smashing of the guitar followed by "See Ya" was probably Jani firing one of the roadies for not grabbing the guitar after he finished the intro. Cuz he had to stand there like a douche the whole first half of the song cuz there weren't no one to take the guitar from him. Yes I am a genius.

  • You're not a genius.

But that is a logical assumption.

  • heyarclight777......It's a tough song to sing regardless live or in the studio. And I agree, this song does kick ass.

  • that was the best use of a Takamini 12 string that ive ever seen.

  • this must have been a bitch to sing live....

  • this songs kicks ass...no matter what they what they looked like in the 80's

  • Rockin band Awesome *****

  • i really love the 90s and these guys.

being a little older I really see the difference between all those bands of that era being defined on the great albums and how they cut it live.

These guys are a little dissapointing (live wise ) maybee they should have played faster as they seems flat. Joey Allen wails though, not bad

  • agreed. i think it actually is slower than the albumn version. a little dissapointing, but still not bad at all

  • IT'S an effect u get cause of the tuning half a note down

  • hahahahaha yeah right! Tuning your guitar down has NOTHING to do with speed! the most it could do is lower the fight of the strings so you might play a little faster

  • if anything tuning down puts more slack on the strings therefor technically it woyuld be a little harder to hit the strings faster

  • i thought bret michaels sang in poison, wait a minute...THIS IS NOT BRET MICHAELS!!!!

  • this is jani lane

  • Cherrt Pie was one of the best albums of the era...

  • amazing with awesome voice

  • Awesome. Man he has a great voice.

  • warrant is one of the most underrated bands of the 80s. shame cherry pie became jani's namesake... they really were great

  • @TypeSH

You mean trademark, a namesake means the song'd be called Jani Lane

  • @TypeSH ya, but the video for that song still kicks ass!

  • @TypeSH Completely agree! i find its the same for most 80's bands, for instance europe to me was massively underrated and all they'll ever be known for is "the final countdown" shame.

  • damn. jani was on top of his game for this song. I wish he was still like this today.

  • UTC 4ever!!!!!!!

  • cherrie pie sucks

    UTC rocks

  • the singer hated the song cherry pie

  • It's true, there's an interview where he say he could "just shoot himself in the fucking head for writing that song"

  • Whoa.

If Warrant had to be remembered for one song only, why did it have to be Cherry Pie?

This tune should be their signature. :)

  • hi it was because cherry pie was such a glam athem u no what i mean well thats what i think + all the fatties love songs about food

  • Yeah, it was a catchy tune and one of the last big songs in the "dying days" of 80's-style metal... plus the video babe was smokin' hot.

But IMO, Uncle Tom's Cabin is a much cooler song.

  • this song fuckin owns
