NASCAR is ok, like going to a local (cheap) go kart track and if you like going in circles for 3 hours. But any one who is in/watches Motorsports can see "NASCAR style" racing is on the bottum step.

I hate the fact that the stock hard 'sport roof' or what ever they call it doesn't fit any where in the car so you've gotta pay like $200 or what ever it is for something that imo doesn't look very good, but it's the only practical way to go w/ the open top if you're not just going around the block and can't just dart back into your garage to get out of the rain.

The cars are big / heavy with small tire patches [vs other race cars tHat are small / light with big tire contact].

Tried to find some corner / straight MPH # for NASCAR @ P to have some context,

Just came up with ave lap times - 172MPH is fastest, 164ish is COT [DD was in pre-COT car].

Seems school is checking RPM @ end of straight [corner entry].

BS is too strong a word, but the real measure is rpm @ corner exit.  P has some drop off, but corners are pretty open. Even @ 160, he was 12mph off the limit [and @ limit is where the fun starts].

DD did fine, but no we won't see him on Sundays.....

Actually, these aren't the exact same cars. these school cars here are detuned for safety of those same average joes because actually, the ones that drive on sundays are much faster (and more unstable) at 200 MPH. And just for good measure, There actually F1 driving experiences as well as GT and Touring cars and just like with these cars, they are also detuned so they can be driven by average joes. So really, there are no motorsports easily accessible by people off the street.
