Lol that is nuts your turkey lays eggs elsewhere! Its obvious the fox is eating the golf balls or maybe another animal lol. Who the heck knows lol. I am laughing so hard , I can't stop lol!!!!
My mother-in-law has a lot of chickens, and she puts out golfballs for some reason or another... anyway, she's told us before that she would go to check on the chickens (and she always has to take a shotgun with her because of snakes) and she's found snakes in the middle of eating the gofballs. She said she even found one before that had eaten 3 of them!
@Ilovetheplatypus naa that's just bad English. It's called "saxon possessive" and I bet 90% of people don't have a clue, it's a pity as it's one very clever bit of your language and it gets messed up sooo much that I sometimes end up confused as well! lol
I'm thinking Raccoon too. Growing up in Florida, we had a resident raccoon who hung around for about 6 years before disappearing . My Papa decided to clear out some property & we found his old home, ( hollowed down tree that layed crosswise against some other trees.) & when Papa cracked it open there was like a hundred golf balls! Loads of other interesting crap too. Spoons, forks, screwdrivers, even a chewed on barbie. LOL, he was obviously an interesting little fellow.
If you have raccoons they will steal them and play with them, probably not golf, some kind of improvised game lol. Could be the Fox too, but they know it's not food, they like to mess around. Plenty of animals that will grab cool stuff and hoard it, and a few that will use objects for entertainment. It really freaks Scientists out when they see it. I don't know what they do all day, but I doubt it's much actual observance of animals. I've seen a lot just interacting and watching them.
Snakes. They think the balls are eggs and will eat them. About half way down the snake they realize they are not eggs and try to exspell them. If they can't, they die. Other animals may have carried them off thinking they were eggs. The nest would still have the scent of the turkey and hey, they are round like eggs. So during a walk, you may find all your eggs, er golf balls in a pile in the woods.
I can just imagine the snake sliding up and thinking "SCORE!!" and scarfing down those golf balls. I'm guessing after a few hours he was thinking "Oh crap Oh crap those weren't eggs!!" LOL
DId u ever try putting oak branches and leaves in the pen? I bet some kids took your balls to sell at golfcoarse.lol. I won't make the wife/balls comment.
I still have that male turkey. He now has a family of 8 children. 4 females and 4 males. Since they joined his harem he's been mellower towards me (for now). The younger turkeys are extremely friendly and no trouble at all. They really do seem to enjoy chasing the dogs around though. Nobody gets hurt, but the dogs really don't like it. The only thing that keeps them from snapping a turkey neck is they know I don't allow that. :)
I wonder if your dog claimed them? My dog steals tennis balls. I've recovered them in all sorts of unexpected places.(I know it's the dog, since the tennis balls are usually mangled up when I find them....she's a chewer.)
I'm sorry. Apparently you were under the mistaken impression that your opinion mattered and that your ignorant comment was welcomed on my channel. Here, let me block you to rectify this situation. :)
...i would not like to see those golf balls come out...like really I can see one or two being a mistake but come on? after the 10th one you would think that the fox or what ever animal ate them was retarted...
thats funny about the birds laying there eggs that far away lol it must be like a mad easter egg hunt everyday for you lol.oh and about those golf balls im sure i seen a fox with a 5 iron sneeking in those woods behind you lol
I've never had enough turkey eggs to have the option to eat them. They're too valuable for hatching purposes. I heard they're delicious though. I had goose eggs though. They're huge! I felt like Wilma Flintstone when I was cracking them into the skillet. lol
Yep! I have two incubators right behind me at my computer. In fact, two should be hatching later tonight. I can hear peeping coming from one of the incubators!!! woohoo! I'll make a vid and show them when they hatch. :)
excellent ! I can't wait to see the compost and tea videos. I'm also planning to do a tea video this week as I have some hot processed materials ready to use,( just waiting on my new camera card to show up)
baconsoda Is right. However, If it were my dogs they would of took them and played with the balls untill they got bored and moved on to some thing else.
Great video My dad did the same thing lol Turkey would sit on them just like eggs. The foxes are carring them off I bet if you look around some you will find them They won't eat them just carrie them off. Maybe you want to think about live traps and rid yourself of them Great video thanks

Golf balls don't migrate.... So maybe a swallow carried them away... But how would the swallow grip the ball? I bet it was an african swallow.

hey why don't you have a very strong American accent?? How strange...
aaaarrrgggghh 9 months ago
@aaaarrrgggghh A better question is; why does everyone else in the world think that all American's should have a southern accent?
Ilovetheplatypus 4 months ago
@Ilovetheplatypus 1) I didn't mean southern 2)plural of americans has no apostrophe :)
aaaarrrgggghh 3 months ago
@aaaarrrgggghh You forget that I'm an American. We always put an apostrophe in American's because we think we own everything.

Maybe a snake swallowed them whole. Poor snake. He's in for a surpise when they don't digest. That's all I can think of.
BTW do you eat turkey eggs? Do they taste like chicken? Just kidding. Do they taste like chicken eggs?

If you look for areas that have been disturbed you might find balls because foxes bury food for lean times.
