At the risk of proving my nerd-status and supporting this film, it's probably because he now only wears clothes with unstable molecules, the material their costumes are made of...they allow his clothes to stretch, Torch's clothes to remain intact while flammable and they allow Alba's suit to become invisible with her. NOW, if only there was a way for her suit to become invisible and the rest of her to remain visible...VERY visible.
