The first corporation was the crown of England. There was a reason for it and that was to never leave the throne unoccupied. If the King died and the heir was under age, the throne would be vacant; so they made it a perpetual corporation to have it occupied at all times. The "PERSON" came into wide use about 1866 after the US civil war where they made the freed slaves persons.

And so the fictional world was born to its fullest extent. they figured why have just black slaves when they could have us all as slaves and paying the cost of our own slavery through our sweat equity, the only thing of real value.
