About what year did this version come out? I'm getting 80's.
I like this version best 'cause I've heard a total of three versions: Bruce Springsteen sounded ancient when I always thought this song lyric-wise to be sung from the POV of a young guy who is hesitant about making his first commitment and too young to know how to treat his girl right all the time, and the LouC Christie song is.. ugh, I hate chipmunked songs.
